Harry in WashDC
jb - Neat? Rocks? Water droplets? I have a GTS I'll drink neat but fear trying it with other stuff.Tonight for me is WT101 as I finished off dribbles from an OGD BIB handle earlier today. jonhalter
OESQ followed by sb blend 2:1 W12 heavy, and finishing off with OESK 120.8. Yowza that is tasty and intense. I need to pick up another bottle of this.

Tbh, either I've been drinking way too much recently or this is just a smooth whiskey, but the heat isn't bothering me. It definitely lingers longer but it's not unpleasant. On a roll here, just might have to crack open either a GTS or ECBP 140. To finish the night, a pour a HW MWND is always nice.
Jazz Nut
Blend of store select EC12 and ECBP 140.2 abv. I am really enjoying it, but may enjoy ECBP with a splash of water better. Cheers!

Drinking in glencairn neat. Holy Sweetness!!! I don't thinl I've ever experienced a finish like this. The first part of SWEET!!! I've read other reviews that call it dark brown suger, I agree. Followed by the heat, which lingers for quite a bit. Surprisngly, I get no oak flavors.
Harry in WashDC
Yeah, that GTS is something. I hadn't considered buying a whole bottle until I tasted it as a "dessert" at lunch. I've now finished about a quarter f it - all neat in spite of the proof. The accomodation I made is to pour about an ounce and then spend about a half an hour sipping at it. And then to bed. Jazz Nut
Moved from the ECBP and EC store select to CEHTBP 129 proof, thankfully a week after opening the alcohol has receded a bit, and it's very enjoyable.

GaryT
Started with a short pour of Weller 12 after realizing that I haven't had it outside of SB Blend in maybe a year or more (and while I absolutely love SB Blend - and do prefer it to W12 neat - glad to remind myself what this whiskey is all about). Moved on to some GBS ETL while I ponder the next pour.
Phil T
Just cracked a fresh bottle of Ezra Brooks single barrel #308 bottled 2/08. I have been through several bottles of this barrel and it never fails to satisfy. I know EB 7yr 101 gets quite a bit of love here, from me included, but the 12yr SB is above board also. fozzy71
Can't decide if I want to open Grass Widow to compare with my open Woodward Ltd or the Templeton Rye to compare with my open Bulleit Rye....
Harry in WashDC
JB Bonded just because it was handy. This stuff's getting better even if it is only 4 yrs old. Certainly tastes closer to KC & JB Double Aged than to JBW. I cannot believe it is the same age and distillate as JBW with less water. Even Beam haters might like it. If not, send me your discards.
johnnyflake45
A pour of Rebel Yell, with a healthy splash of WLW 12yo. What a difference, very tasty and smooth. This is not bad at all!

johnnyoski
Revisiting OGD 114 tonight. I wasn't too impressed with my first pours of this on Friday, but some of that funky aftertaste seems to have mellowed out.
fozzy71
Revisiting OGD 114 tonight. I wasn't too impressed with my first pours of this on Friday, but some of that funky aftertaste seems to have mellowed out. That's good to hear since I just asked the local place to order me some and he said he had to order 1 or 3 so I told him to get 3 since it seems to be popular on the forums. I hope I like it. Grass Widow, it's more interesting than Templeton. Done, and I agree. Quite nice. Not sure how often I will buy it given it's price point but glad I got at least one.
