Had jumbo steamed crabs, shrimp and corn for dinner. Now having Eagle Rare 10 to finish it off. Great meal after a day of landscaping.

Grilled shrimp, grilled peaches, side salads - great summer dinner. Went well with some FR offerings, first finished up a Small Batch bottle, then zeroed in on the Single Barrel. Left the BPs alone, though.

Your sounding like a Louisiana boy now...... Love shrimp on the grill.

Just one pour of WTRB. I don't reach for this often, but every time I do I wonder why I don't reach for this more often. Really fine bourbon.

A good friend called wanting to bring a gift over. He says I wasn't wanting to force you to drink tonight, but just wanted to give you this to thank you for all the great pours you've shared with me from your collection.

I'd had a heck of a day and wasn't really in the mood, but his gift (a 4RSB private selection barrel of the standard) couldn't be ignored.

So, when opportunity knocks... I call another buddy and we all end up drinking 3/4 of this delicious gift bottle, plus killed off the remainder of a WT101 that I'd been working on.

Can't wait to see what tomorrow holds...

The last of the BT 1.75 that I decanted down to a Pyrat rum bottle. I love all things BT, their standard bourbon is becoming my favorite value pour.

KCSB store selection last evening while re-watching Band of Brothers for the umpteenth time. BOB still rocks, and the KCSB is really opening up with some airtime and is just great stuff. $42 by me, and and worth every penny IMO, but you guys who seem to be getting KCSB for much less are getting quite the steal.

did some larceny last night and some OFSig. definitely preferred the Larceny over the OFSig though, but not a bad pour in its own right

Opened up the Beam Distillers Masterpiece last night. Best whiskey I have tasted so far in 2015. An assault on every sense (and even bigger assault on my wallet...:D). Packaging, color of whiskey, nose, flavor, finish, everything...fabulous. For the price, would I rather have a case of VOB BIB? No. Not even 2 cases. Or, 3...

Joe pushed me over the edge on this one. I've been resisting purchase for several months and while checking out another store on my way from NC to KY yesterday I made the purchase and,.... It was on sale for $160 so a good discount.

Anyone around Knoxville looking for it check McScrooges off I-40 exit 378. Great store. I'll post pictures later this week but I'll say I've never been able to pick up 6 of the 10 4R recipes in one place before. Also several barrel selects of other brands.

SAOS 7 yr 99 proof is tasting mighty nice today. Sure wish I'd have bought a couple more of these.

Cheers! Joe
