ran across a FRSB for $35, couldn't resist the price. 1792 was going for $25, and mulled over that for a min and was able to resist it.

Hoping to find a 4R LE today but settled for some Eagle Rare and bitters. Doing my weekly duty and supporting my neighborhood store.

It was an expensive trip back to the home land. Found 2 OFBB one of which goes to a fellow SBer, 2 FRPS one of which was at the Gift Shop and selected by JR. 1 WTMK and thankfully a '15 FR Smb LE. Not a bad day, just hurt the wallet a little.

Picked up another Stagg Jr today. It's too good of a batch not to have a back up.

Nice pickup on the SA rum if that was in the purchase also. Nice stuff!

I'm slowly putting some of SA 1990 rum away. That bottle is open. It's the best rum I've tasted.

Went cruising some stores on the other side of town and my good buddy spotted a bottle of EWSB 2003 collecting dust. He knows I'm such a fan, so he handed it to me. Thanks, fjr1606!

Got back from the local Binny's by my folks place. Grabbed a FRSB OBSO and a SA 10yr bourbon. Nice bonus at 15% off today!

Picked up a bottle of OWA for 23. Maryland must have got their shipment because I have seen it at a few stores (but at a lot higher prices.)

I visited the distilleries Wednesday through Friday. I took off from home early Wednesday morning and got to the Four Roses Warehousing facility around 1:00PM. I did the tour but I didn't purchase any bottles like I wanted to. They didn't sell the LE Small Batch until Friday and they didn't have any Private Selections out. I found that peculiar but I didn't bother asking why. I did purchase a used barrel from them to age some homebrew stout that my buddies and I will brew. It's smelled wonderful driving around with the barrel in the back of my Chevy Traverse the past few days. I left there and purchased a bottle of ETL at Keystone Liquor.

I did the Trace tour at Buffalo Trace on Thursday. I really enjoyed it. I wanted to go on the Hard Hat tour again but I didn't get my act together in time. It was the first time I ever saw them selling Blanton's in the gift shop. It was dated September 9, 2015. I thought it was pretty cool that it had been bottled just eight day prior to. I didn't really want to purchase any bourbon there but my impulses got the better of me. I walked out with a bottle of Blanton's and Buffalo Trace.

I circled back to the Four Roses distillery hoping to score that 2015 LE Small Batch bottle. I don't know if they sold them to people who attended the Sneak Peek lunch but they didn't sell it to me or anyone else when I was there. No worries. I checked out their gift shop Private Selections. They did not have any bottles of the K or Q yeast out. I knew that they have suspended the Private Selection bottling of the Q yeast but I didn't know about the K yeast. Bummer. Another thing worth noting is that some of the PS bottles were picked by Jim Rutledge and some were picked by Brent Elliott. Great, now what the hell was I suppose to do? Should I purchase the last gift shop bottles picked by Jim Rutledge? Or should I purchase the first gift shop bottles picked by Brent Elliott? I can't even remember exactly which ones I got now but I think I got two bottles each of both Master Distillers.

I had to change my plans and go home Friday. I was able to stop at the Four Roses Warehousing facility again on Friday morning and I got that LE Small Batch bottle. I got there at 9:15AM and there was probably 30 people in line getting the same bottle. I suspect a few more people already came and left before I got there. On my way home, I stopped by Crown Liquor in Indianapolis to see if they had any OBSK bottles. Yes! I was in luck. I purchased two of those bottles and I was on my way home.

For what it's worth, not all of the bottles are for me. I made some purchases for some buddies. We're just about to open some of those bottles. Got to go.

One of my favorite Rums too. Right up there with Balcones Rum in my book.

My favorite independent got his private select barrels of Russell's Reserve and SAOS 10 this week. Grabbed two bottles of each.

Blanton's for $49.99. It has been more difficult to find over the past year and the price was $10 cheaper than the normal price.

A little re-stocking trip today resulted in ECBP, Stagg Jr., Ritt BIB, 4RSB. I also caved in and bought a WRDO.

I stopped in to see the folks at Smooth Ambler in WV today and had a tour and a tasting of some of their products. Very nice place, great tour and really friendly people there. I'd highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area.

I picked up their SAOS 10 year (x2), SAOS SB (x3), and also got bottle of Booker's 2014-7 on my way home. A good way to spend a Saturday.

Herd there was a line of people at the distillery first thing Friday morning to purchase the SmbLE bottling. When I stopped to pick up my prepaid bottle, I was told about 80 people in line with the first person arriving at 4am to be in line. Things have gotten completely out of control!

I wonder if that line would be like that at the distillery if they didn't have their breakfast there at 9:00AM.

Knob Creek on sale. Nothing else jumped out at me, and it has been awhile since I had last bought a bottle. SB.com is a terrible place...bunkering is contagious.

Yesterday bought four bottles of Knob Creek Single Barrel Reserve Store Select at 25.99. I think I should of backed the pickup up to the door and got more at that price.

FYI it was at the Sturgis S.D. Toddy shop. I was trout fishing in the Black Hills for a week and dropped in. They had dozens of bottles. Marked as an "in store special"

Pretty stellar deal, especially if it's a good barrel pick.
