Good sores on the OWA and RB. I'd pass on any and all Michters and Jeffersons though.

I typically stay away from Michter's and definitely stay away from Jefferson's but I have had 2 pours from my bottle of the Michter's Barrel Strength Rye and they were amazing! In fact, it's been a little while, I think I'll revisit that bottle tonight.

Michter's, Jefferson and Willet are currently on my "no buy" list for the most part for various reasons but I did break down and get the Michter's barrel proof rye when it first appeared and confess I found it to be quite good to me. But its relatively high cost, presumably based as much on the brand name as the whiskey in the bottle, and its current "no buy" status means a second one is unlikely.

Picked up a bottle of 2005 EWSB and OF sig. First time I have seen the OF sig on the shelf in Maryland.

Color me jealous. Love some OFSig but it's been gone from the shelves here for the past couple of months. :frown:

They do have plenty of the new OF offerings but to me they can't compare to OFSig.

This is one of those cases where I thought it would always be on the shelf, because it was, but now it's not. :hot:

I am having a small pour now and it is very nice. For 22 bucks a bottle I may have to go back and pick up a couple more.

Not me. I have had many very good-to-excellent bottles from both and the barrel strength rye in particular was terrific, though Michter's and Jeffersons tend to be pricier than they ought to be.

It's the pricier than they ought to be part that keeps me away. And, the fact the Michter's screwed over Bomberger's Whiskey and forced them to change their name.

Picked up 2 bottles of this at the MM gift shop yesterday. Just coincidentally vacationing in the Louisville area with the wife and a buddy of mine and his wife and I got the email that they were released yesterday and were available in the gift shop only, so we high-tailed it over and each picked up 2 bottles. I also picked up bottle of Liquor World store selection FRSB OESQ signed by Jim Rutledge.

you'll have to let us know how that MM46CS tastes once you get a chance.

He gave some notes in the MM46CS thread. Sounds delicious but not worth the 13 hour round trip drive. :skep:

I just saw after I posted! sounds pretty good, you might have to make that trip to KY regardless of the MM46CS ;) I'm trying to find a good time for me to head down to KY to tour the distilleries too. Might not have any time until next spring though.

as for me... I kinda went on a purchasing craze today. I ran around to a few of the smaller liquor stores in the area and picked up Baby Saz for $29, and saw ETL for $40 so I picked up 2 bottles (left 3 on the shelf) and also a a FRSB at Binny's.

OGD114, plus a friendly in-person check-in with my local dealer to remind him I'd happily come down to grab a bottle of OFBB and FRSmBLE when they show up. Worth the trip for sure!

Here's the final haul from our trip to Louisville.

1 x SAOS9 BP

2 x FRSB (1 OESQ BS signed by Jim Rutledge + 1 OBSV)

2 x MM46CS

1 x WRDDO

1 x WRDS (Technically the wife's, but I'll probably end up drinking most of it)

1 x Amador Double-Barrel Bourbon (the wife's)

2 x Angel's Envy 100ml's (the wife's)

I wouldn't fret too much. My guess is that the MM46CS will eventually go the same way as the regular MMCS and be available pretty much all over. In the meantime, if you find yourself in the Durham, NC area, stop on by and I'll pour a taste for ya!
