Finally killed off my Tippin's store pick WTKS (first/only one in MI) last night.  The more I drank the more it grew on me, but for the price difference I would rather just have a WTRB which I have a bit under half a pint left of that I decanted into a smaller bottle to save shelf space.  Next up on the chopping block on my bottle killing / shelf clearing mission is an OGD114 which I have 3 more of bunkered I believe.

I have been in a "thinning the herd" mode.  I am now down to only 4 open bottles...larceny, HHSS, ER17, ECBP Batch #5.  No, I am not a bourbon snob.  I have plenty of standard stuff unopened.  I just wanted to narrow my selections down.  I am the kind of guy who can spend 15 minutes in the cereal aisle at the store trying to determine which granola to buy.

I finished off a bottle of WR, Blanton's, Pikesville and GTS this week.  Actually, the Pikesville and GTS had a couple of pours (5 oz) left in each which I plan to gift to a co-worker who wants to try both.

I have 23 bottles of whiskey left unopened.  I guess it is time to go buy some more.  I always feel better buying more when I don't have as many bottles open.  I guess I am just goofy that way.

Couple of 750 Blanton's, couple of 375 Blanton's, and a 750 BT hit the bin this week (two week pickup cycle...)

Finished off my only bottle of SAOS BP Rye during the snowstorm. I have only seen the 99 proof version recently.

I'm about to finish up a Bakers. This was probably the most woody tasting bourbon I've had. Did I like it, yes. Will I purchase it again very soon, I like other stuff more in it's price range.

Whoa.....woody? Never heard Baker's (or any other 7 year bourbon) described as being woody. I'm perplexed by this.

Just my strange experience. What char do they use on their barrels?

Saying goodbye to a 2014 George T Stagg tonight.

My GTS '14 has been feeling neglected, I'm sure, but I just don't wanna see it go, so I've been avoiding partaking of it until the right "occasion" days.

Me too!  Baker's used to be my "go-to" bourbon many years ago.  Actually drank a lot of it at the bar in Macy's at the Ala Moana Center in Hawaii with a friend while the wives shopped, and shopped, and shopped and . . . well, you get the idea.  Now, the last two glasses were nice, but not my favorite any more.  YMMV.   -_-

Finished off a 2015 ETL last night.  I don't tell a difference from the days before Mr. Lee passed away like some people claim.  Still delicious to me.

Earlier in the week I killed off an EC12, tonight killed off a bottle of OGD114. Both of which I'm looking forward to replacing.

Killed off a store selection single barrel 9 year old 1792.  I know that 1792 gets mixed reviews, but this must be a good barrel because this was excellent.  Fruity, caramel, nicely aged.  Particularly with 1792 now NAS, I am glad I have a couple more of this 9 year old barrel in the bunker.

Just finished off a bottle of Booker's (Center Cut) with a double-sized pour.  Hey, why split it into 2 pours?

Polished off the remaining small pour of a '12 Lot B that had been open for a while. Sad to see it go, but it makes room for lots of other tasty bottles that aren't named Van Winkle!

Heh, I do that too and my partner usually says "woah, gonna get drunk tonight?" when he sees my glass.

Finished off my bottle of HW RR last night. I had been holding it back a little too make it last. It has to be my favorite bottle of all time right now.
