Harry in WashDC
Had a short shot of Blanton's after a shower necessitated by several hours' yardwork in 90+ heat, slept an hour, then had a short shot of EWW (i.e. Evan Wms bonded) while lighting a charcoal fire for burgers, then a short OGD Bonded for/with dessert of homemade vanilla custard. I am feeling fine as the Nats play the Braves (Hi, smokiinjoe), and the Nats are far enough ahead I don't have to pay attention. Which is a good thing considering. Sounds like you set yourself up well for a nap on the chair while watching the game. Good to know you have a little nip o' something available in the wastebasket if need be. flahute
It's been a Turkey kind of evening. Started with a pour of WT Diamond. The bottle is almost empty and has been sitting for a while. Still tasted good. I decided to go back in for the final pour. I do like it, but don't find it to be great. Happy to have had it, but also happy that I didn't stock up on it. Following with some WT101 12yr old. Now we're talking.

LCWoody
Last night my wife and I went to Ron White at one of the local casino's. Very funny. Knowing they wouldn't have any good bourbon I brought a 200ml bottle of FR OBSO in with me. I didn't think Ron would mind.

Tony Santana
Started out with WT Masters Keep today while I put some dinner together (marinate some fresh trout for the grill, shucked some ear corn, ut together a nice salad). Quite tasty. Then opened a Michter's Cask Strength Rye. First time tasting on that one. Really liked it. Don't know what the mash bill may be, but kind of bourbony to me. Great nose. A caramel bomb. MOwhisky4me
Spoiler Finished the last couple pours from my first bottle of John J Bowman SB tonight. Wasn't sure about this one when I first popped it open, but once I got below the 3/4 full point this evolved into a super good bourbon! Thick and buttery texture, rich flavors of heavy caramel and fresh baked bread, lots of spice and a long finish with some oak and a little earthiness. Turned out to be one of my favorite bourbons! Louisiana
Started with a stellar SAOS7, moved to FR Elliot's Select, & finished with 2014 FR Small Batch LE. All of them really hit the spot.
