My notes indicate:

1-134.4

2-128.7

3-132.1

Thought my memory was failing me for a second, so I just called one of the shops where I saw it. Confirmed that it is 128.7, so maybe the second release just made it to shelves in Atlanta?

Just curious, but does anyone have an updated of the proof and batch number it's up to now.

Don't have the proof or batch # but it's up to $69.99 now.

Are others seeing this regularly raised in price to $69.99 or more? I like the ones I have had, but not above $60.00.

Unfortunately that was a couple weeks ago. Today it was $89.99. I can buy two bottles of KCSB and have money left over for a burger at that price.

Last one I got a couple months ago was $55. Up from $50. Up from $45. Up from $40 the first time I bought it.

just picked up a 3rd batch at $50 here based on what you guys have said. I've tried the 1st batch and didn't like it so much, so hope this bottle is much better!

Still around $50 here as well. Just a reminder about Stagg Jr. If you don't like it or love it on its own, blend it, ideally with BT or CEHT SmB. Similar profiles all, and the Stagg Jr. beefs up the blendee, while the blendee tones down the Stagg Jr. I keep a steady supply of BT/Stagg Jr. blend whipped up, and it is quite good IMO.

ER10/Stagg Jr. might make a good vatting too if you like a little more oak.

I'll have to try that out if I don't like what I taste at first. BT seems to be the way I'd go first, but I'll probably try the ER10 too. thanks for the suggestion guys

I usually dilute my Stagg Jr with straight H2O down to 100 proof in a pretty large batch and create a pseudo-BT BiB. It's always tasty to me.

The last time I saw any around my area on the shelf, that was the price. It was late December and to some extent they were clearing a few things out before inventory. I passed on that (but did grab some of the beers they put out!).

After a test pour of the mix, I used the last 1/3 of my one bottle to create a "Ron's Four Grain 2.0" with the other ingredients being EWSB and MM. It's pretty good.

For those not familiar with it, Ron's Four Grain is a vatting developed many years ago by an SB.com member. It was equal parts GTS, MM and EW "1783". In those days the 1783 was age dated (10yo) but it's been NAS since about 2009. I substituted EWSB because it's close in age (about 9.5yo vs 10yo) and proof (86.6 vs 86) to the original 1783 and probably more resembles it that the current NAS bottling.

Today was a bad new, bad news, good news day. I visited one of my favorite local stores this morning. The guy that runs the liquor department is a young man I coached in high school bowling a number of years ago. He's a really good kid. The good news is, he's been promoted to assistant store manager. That's also the first part of the bad news. He'll be mainly involved with the grocery side of things now, although he did tell me he'd still have some dealings with the liquor department. I stopped in the liquor department to grab another Stagg Jr Batch #3. That's the other bad news. Evidently a "Phil" has visited my area too. He bought the last 8 bottles of Stagg Jr. So, I came home empty handed. :frown: I reckon I won't be posting much any more about when I find something at a decent price. Guess I should know better by now, but it's still pretty sad when things things come to that.

You should come down to Peoria where the Stagg Jr. is plentiful and the roads are paved with gold...or is that barely paved? It is Illinois after all...

Wait, did I not learn from your story?
