Merry Christmas, Will.

That ECBP is the outlier as far as proof, the only release less than 130 pf, I believe.  How is it drinking?  In league with the others?

Thx.

Had a post Christmas dinner pour from a newly cracked THH and loved it. I am tempted to go back to the bottle today. Followed that with a little bit of Mount Gay XO rum and because this is a bourbon thread, finished with a pour of OWA PS. Preceding the bourbon with rum definitely removed some of the sweetness I usually like so much in OWA. I should have anticipated that.

I can't really tell, I've tasted this one and the batch 6 which is epic, it needs a little time to open, after that it's pretty tasty with a long and spicy finish. I've asked other members about which batch is the best, apparently they are all very good. You can't go wrong with ECBP

Merry Christmas M-H

Saw two bottles of this yesterday for 64.99.  Was very tempted to buy both.  After tasting it, wow -- I wish I had!

So jealous.  Can't even find this online....much less on a shelf in MD.  Merry Christmas!

Started this Christmas off with a pour of ETL, then move on to some ODG BiB. Just started drinking a pour of OF sig. This stuff always hits the spot. Very tasty.

I hope every had a Merry Christmas and a happy holiday.  The weekend pours have been simple but special including OGD 114, a superb FRSiB and a great PS KCSB

The last pour from the last of my original batch of 10 4R SBBS gift shop bottles. OBSF was the last one standing and it did not disappoint, it never did, each pour over the years has been fantastic. This was a fun and delicious tour that established a baseline from which to compare future bottles of  these 10 recipes. I was fortunate to acquire them while Jim Rutledge was at the helm and all but 1 of the 10 were very good to excellent. Not a bad way to celebrate the holidays and usher in the new year with some new bottles. Slainte, Kevin.

Just finished an OGB BiB. I have been tasting through several BIBs and the OGD and EW are my favorites of the locally available BIBs, going to have to replace this one.

Where and when were you looking?  It was actually pretty common this year.  Multiple liquor stores with shelves full of HWMWND.

Never been keen on Mimosas so I let the family enjoy theirs while I enjoyed a splash of JTS Brown BIB in my OJ.

I get over to Hunt Valley/Cockeysville (Shawan, Total, etc) area once in awhile and Westminster (Cranberry) but never saw any...Work with a guy who has a PT gig at a place in crownsville but they didn't have any either.  It sucks I don't have any local places with any type of selection. Probably my timing mixed with my luck.

Over the Holiday weekend, I finished a Sooth Ambler Old Scout 10 year old, had a couple pours of WTRB, cracked open a Booker's Toogie's Invitations, as well as a Dickle 12.  On to a new week!

This morning I had a micro pour of Weller Centennial.  Oh the wonder.  It's better than you heard.  Unfortunately there are only a couple of micro pours left.

For Christmas Eve and Day I've been enjoying the PH Promise of Hope - just an outstanding and all around balanced whiskey - as well as a private barrel of Russell's Reserve which is basically creme brulee in a glass. So, so perfect for Christmas.

I'm 3/4 thru OGD BIB.  It was a bit overbearing at first, but since the 3rd pour, its quite good and flavorful.  A good $23 rye-blessed staple.

Home after a quick weekend with the in-laws for Christmas. Some Four Roses OESK to start the night, then a touch of Blantons followed. Relaxing in bed with some Buffalo Trace to end the night.

Sipping on a little PVW20 before dinner. I find that the old whiskies need to be my first pour of the evening on a fresh and clean palate. Any sort of desensitization to the palate brings the wood tannins to the foreground and drastically alters my perception of the profile.
