Probably paid just a bit too much at $45. They actually charged me $50 and had to refund $5 back when I realized I was overcharged.

That's a really nice pour! I had my first sip last month and really enjoyed it. Well done.

I get some deserved grief for my purchases. It is a reason that I plan to start a budget in April. I think I may budget $13 a week. I may do $15 a week.

We operate under the "don't ask don't tell" policy in our home. She never asks where the bottles come from and I never tell her there's a hell of a lot more in the basement.

My wife never witnesses the bottles coming into the house or the photo taking either.  Amazing how that bunker just grows on its own!  Every so often I get asked "did you get another bourbon?"  Fortunately, I'm married to a very loving and understanding woman!

My wife was going into Chicago to pick up some cosmetics special at Barney's, so I asked her to stop at Binny's Lincoln Park on the way home to pick up some stuff I saw on this website straight bourbon dot com that I've been checking more recently. Need it for my upcoming mini whiskey/whisky fest. She went 2 for 2. BTW, the 1792 FP was $50.

Last WT special bottling I got was the American Spirit and I remember liking it a lot; actually finished 2 bottles of it. Been a WT fan since college 'cuz of Hunter Thompson.

We really shouldn't discuss such things. Fight club rules and all.

I would happily pay $50 for a bottle if I found one. I paid $7.50 for a pour of it at a bar on Saturday and I thought it was delicious.

Yeah i think that's a perfectly priced bottle.  Wish they all were like that!

Binny's has their 1792 FP barrel select right now for $50 which I just picked up yesterday.  initial pour was that I wasn't too impressed by it, but will go back again sometime this week and try it again to see if I should pick up another bottle.

I have no self control. :(  Was at Packages & More yesterday and they told me that one of their store selections of KC Single Barrel was 14 yrs. & ? months old.  I already had one of their store selections that was 12+ years old (and very tasty I might add) plus the bottle my son and I bottled for ourselves at the JB Distillery tour.  So I went back today and

KNOB%20CREEK_zpsx1yriskv.jpeg  two bottles from barrel #3094.  One for me and one for my son.

I know I should feel guilty for having so little self control but  .  .  .  screw it,  14+ year old single barrel bourbon for $44.99 a bottle, what's to feel guilty about.

And don't forget, 120 proof.

You are so right.  He said it came from the barrel at 128 proof so it was only cut slightly to get it to the 120.

I'm anxiously awaiting the 25th Anniversary KC Single Barrel, Barrel Proof.  I've heard it's coming.

As a barton fan,  I oddly enjoy the 86p VOB much better than the 100p BIB VOB.

Thought I was the only one!

Found a bottle of Dickel I had never seen before and the 9 yr age statement made me buy it.

I picked up an age stated EC12 for $25+ tax, and a KCSB store pick for $30+ tax. I also got a 13.5 year old KCSB store pick and an EHTBP over the weekend courtesy of Bbstout

Picked up my first WR today. Wanted to see what pot still brings to the bourbon table.

I've contemplated trying one of these bottles. The bottle is quite handsome. I look forward to reading your feelings about it after you drink some.

Good find. Usually comes with a necklace. I'm seeing these again after a year hiatus. Still using Johns signature 2 years removed?

Sweet mellow and an easy sipper.
