What bourbon did you purchase today (winter 2016/17)?

@Paddy and others have really spoken highly of some of the KC single barrel store picks, so I bought one at a local Kroger today. 120 proof is my kind of language!

Wow is that a dusty or actually 20 years old? Even if a dusty I'm sure it's a lot older than the 2009 bottles I just saw at Total Wine.

If that is remotely close to the Barrel #3094 I recently opened you are in for a treat.  Let us know how it tastes.

That's Jim Beam juice from post fire, I have one open from that as well as one Brown Forman, one new Bernheim and one pre fire Bardstown.

Two (2) 375ml  bottles of Blanton's (I can't get these at home) from the Lincolnia, VA ABC store.  An "O" and a "S" for $26.99 ea. + tax.  Good thing I'm driving since the trunk already has two (2) boxes of hootch in the trunk!

I had no intentions of even looking today but somehow my car wound up at an ABC store so I thought "why not go on in since I'm already here" so I did...  First thing on the Bourbon shelves is WA107 ( I left the O off for Old since they did as well) and at $29 I grabbed two then looked along the bottom shelf and found Virgin 7/101 staring at me for $13 and so I thought why not try this against OE7/101.

Not sure how this happened but I am sure that down the road I'll be glad it did :)

I missed the 375 part the first time I read that price and had to do a doubletake!

I love that VA sells the 375's and that the price is less for two of those than for one 750 which makes no sense but I don't complain just get a case of 375's every 4-6 months and smile about it

Yea, that makes no sense whatsoever.  On the flipside, people at work are making fun of my family size pack of throat lozenges sitting on my desk as I fight off an infection this week.  Yes, I COULD have gotten the 80-drop package, but the 200-drop bag was the same price.  Cough drops don't go bad, right?...

I'm curious to hear how the SBS goes . . . I just bought an OE101 7YR for $16.

My prediction of the SBS is hands down OE7. I was excited to get a few of the Virgins while out of state recently. It's pretty rough around the edges and didn't hit my fancy like it has others here on the board. It's not bad, probably has the darkest color of any bourbon near it's age, but the flavor profile was simple and the finish was hot (and not in a spicy hot good way). I think the Virgin will be fine on ice once the weather warms and I'm out back with a stogy.

It's tasty, my particular was from February of '97, my favorite was the pre fire juice from '94 or the post fire from '00 which was a Binny's select.

Just opened it . . . and not only a new label, but now has a cork . . . upscale!  Tastes pretty darn good.  One of our favorite value pours.  Will have to break open a VB101 now . . . Wally

Found a store with some lower proof SAOS SB. Bought one at $56. If I like it I'll go back for more.

Picked up one of my favorites today, ER10 with the older 10 year single barrel ring on the neck. Also picked up the last Jeffersons Old Rum Cask, batch 1 bottle #06759.

I think the VA ABCs have figured it out - I know at least 1 store was going to limit purchases of the 375s to one (1) bottle per customer after Thursday's deliveries . . . . .

Limited supply here in Australia but I managed to secure a bottle of Pappy 15. Very happy with the purchase and hope to be cracking it in the next few weeks :)
