Maybe! I'd have definitely sprung for ECBP.  It was $65.99 last fall for me. I've paid more OWA but the last bottle I got was $21.99. I have about 15 of those and a 1.75 but I'd have still been tempted.

I would have bought several of the OWA inasmuch as it is simply not available in these parts.

I wasn't aware of an MSRP increase in ECBP, this may be your store taking no a bigger cut.

So, I keep passing on a couple handles of JBB 8 year age stated. For whatever reason, I don't remember ever trying JBB. But I am always tempted to pick up age stated versions of labels that have gone NAS. However, the same store has aged stated Knob Creek handles for $10 more, which is of course a year older and a higher proof level among probably other differences. 

 

So, for those of you more familiar with the age stated JBB, which would you be buying given the $10 difference in price? Curious what others would do in this situation

I am so jealous of the ECBP prices I'm seeing. I have bought more than a handful but the cheapest I have ever paid was 61.99. And only one of the 7 or so I have had at that price! Anything less than 70 and I'm all over it.

I had not read the most glowing reviews which is part of the reason that I have passed on Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit. I must admit, though, that it is one of my favorite bottle designs and I would likely use it as a decanter after emptying it. I will have to pull the trigger on a bottle at some point.

 

Sometimes my wheaters taste a little sour to me.

 

I hope that future pours of Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit taste better for you.

I have read of variability with Kentucky Spirit. The second pour I had a week later didnt have the sour note anymore, it was real good pour. Moreso than ever I have been noticing a big difference from the very first pour of a newly open bottle and the second one .

I have never heard of it. I wouldn't buy a bottle that expensive without reading reviews (and / or tasting it) first.

I had to google this one, had never heard of it either.  What really struck me as odd was an NDP in Bardstown using MGP distillate.

I tried the JBB last Saturday at the distillery tour.  Also all three KC products (Rye, KCSmB, KCSiB).  For $10 more I would definitely go with the KC.

I can not get alcohol shipped to me in Kentucky, so I passed on everything on this site. Anyway, I stumbled onto this site trying to research Old Bones.

I did get a good laugh at their selling bottles of Elmer T. Glee bourbon.

The only one in that line that has me even mildly interested is the Backbone Uncut just because I'm a sucker for BP your MGP juice or otherwise. If it was 10-15 cheaper I probably would have bought a bottle at TW by now out of intrigue.
