A couple of nice pours. Bought this bottle over a year ago, just now getting to it. Very nice, nice sweetness, nice little finish at 90 proof. I like this alot better than the 86 proof, surprised me. Can't wait to try the other 2 in this series.

Having a healthy pour of American Born bourbon. I think its pretty new stuff. I picked it up in Nashville recently. I get alot of apple cinnamon with this one.

So I have this bottle of JTS Brown BIB that tastes too young to me. I have a hard time with it on it's own. I also have a bottle of EC21 that tastes like sawdust. Literally.

Sooooo........why not try a blend? Going with 3 parts JTS to 1 part EC21. Interesting. A little too much 21 still as the sawdust taste is somewhat present but it still tastes better than either on their own. I'll try less 21 next time and will also experiment with a three part blend that introduces some EC NAS

A late night pour of MM46. I'm enjoying it all right, but Maker's never fails to make me think that the only remarkable thing about it is the lack rye flavors :)

Note to self...even though I like EC12, I may want to pass on EC18 and EC21 unless I find it for a really, really good price. Cheers Steve!

Currently sipping on EC18. It's good!! Perhaps not good enough to justify the current price, but I do like it. (This is a post "going on a break" EC18). Not at all over oaked. Not sure what happened with the extra three years on the 21.

OK, good to know. I'm still not sure that I'm willing to pay the gift shop price for EC18, but that's the only place I've ever seen it thus far.

By the way, I'm enjoying one of your favorites tonight...Dickel No.12. [emoji12] It's odd with Dickel; sometimes my palate isn't up for that unique flavor profile, while other times I just can't get enough of it.

Trying side by side pours of two well-aged bourbons, the Weller 12 yr. and Rebel Yell 10 yr. wheater, as I sit in my hotel room on a road trip thru central and upstate New York. Both wonderful  of course but even with the extra 2 years, I have a bit of a preference for the RY10 since I've got a weakness for wheaters. :-) Did a lot of driving today thru the Adirondacks after leaving Lake Placid so rewarded myself with an extra shot of the RY10. :-)

I know what you mean. Have never quite warmed up to Dickel, but on the other hand it's been very consistent in my experience which is more than you can say for a lot of other names. At least you know what you're getting.

Noah's mill, I know people are pretty divided on it but I really enjoy how unique the flavor profile is.

Tried a second bottle of the Noah's Mill after about a 5 year hiatus and did like it better the second time. The problem for me with the Noah's is that the Bookers is only about $5 more where I live and that's pretty stiff competition.

Gee, I thought Weller 12 WAS a "wheater."  But I have been wrong a few times in the past . . . . . . . . .

Ribeyes on the egg last night at 700 degrees on the iron skillet. 1792 high rye in hand, needing a bit of water and tasting great. Life is grand.

I believe you're right, it's a wheater too.

The Rebel Yell was reminiscent of the Wild Turkey flavor profile actually. The Weller tasted like, well, good ol' Weller, which is good. :-)

Enjoyed some OGDBIB and OGD114 last night.  Ended the night with some Grandpa Weller's 4 Grain.  This is the second time i'm trying this and enjoyed it more this time around.

Hit a few bars to find a pour of the new FR LE, but no luck. Enjoying a FR Elliot's instead. Pretty unique for FR.

Update: Damn, I am in love with this thing, the first FR I loved. Maybe I should educate myself on FR store picks after all.

Virgin 7yr 101 straight out of the fridge to cool things off after a frenetic day in the office.

Same here Noah's Mill runs between $42.99 and $55ish where as Bookers (unless you run into something with something slightly dusty) is running $65 to $85

Right. And that's about what I'd say it's worth.

I was in a small liquor store in a rural town in upstate NY and the Wild Turkey Masters Keep was $170. I think someone here mentioned they found it at Costco for under $80.
