I'm up in New Hampshire, and the lack of tax and generally lower prices got the better of me, as I was checking out they handed me $50 in Gift Cards which I can't spend until tomorrow, so I guess I'm going back!

Wow! That is an unbelievable price for W12! That's what WSR sells for in most places around here. The cheapest I found W12 for was $34.99 plus tax!

Yeah...I only had 2 bottles until I saw the price and grabbed a 3rd. I was pretty stunned.

I drink it on the rocks which cuts the 1920 down just right.

I may have to try with an ice cube or a splash of water, I like it neat though.

Picked this up from my local LS. Excited to try it, I've never had it but have heard great things!

Cheers!

For me, this Buffalo Trace product was very disappointing - the standard Buffalo Trace is better IMHO (and much less expensive!)

My preference is neat as well but when the proof starts getting up there then on the rocks it goes.

Do you think someone mistakenly put the WSR price on the 12?

Picked up a Wild Turkey Decades today, as the store had dropped the price down to $99.

Great price!

Wow again! Those are all incredible prices! You are fortunate to have a store nearby with such great prices and selection.

I was dropping off a sample of W12 for the store owner...but she actually had these on the shelf!

Yes that is $22.99 ea.

It might possibly have something to do with the number of bottles/cases of each that the store received. FWIW, I've been to two stores recently that had the same price on Weller SR and OWA. One store had them somewhat reasonably priced at $27.99, while the other was gouging at $39.99. I asked about it at the "good" store. The answer was, "That's what the computer says."  They had twice as much OWA as they did Weller SR, so my guess is they may have received a case discount on the OWA from the distributor. It could also be a computer error. I've seen prices that rang up wrong a couple of times. Once was due to information that hadn't been updated. The other was a price that had been incorrectly entered into the system. FWIW, I came out good on both those occasions. ;)

Cheers! Joe

Didn't taste those two releases, but the 1920 is way better than the 2015 OFBB which i didn't like at all. Do you drink it neat or with water ?

Usually neat but I also put a bit of water in from time to time, depending on the mood! How do you like it? I haven’t had the 2015 OFBB but I am kinda disappointed by OFBB in general. I like the 2017 release well enough. I would but it if I saw it on the shelves at MSRP.

This is something I'd really like to get my hands on. I'm surprised the Jewbilee doesn't do more with Heaven Hill.

I ordered my bottle yesterday - plus the American Light Whiskey, which I thought was phenomenal! Can't wait to get these. Really like what the SCN guys are doing.

Bought these on a recent trip to NC. Also picked up (not pictured), a Barrell Bourbon batch 013.

Southern Star Cask Strength Batch 001 122.2 proof $60

Southern Star Reserve 10 year Batch 001 100 proof $70

The Southern Star stuff is MGP, but the cask strength was quite nice, so I went back and got a 2nd bottle. Similar in quality to Belle Meade and SAOS single barrels, also from MGP, but this is a batch at cask strength.

This is the kind of place that doesn't have a computer system likely. Very small town store but the owner likes her specialty stuff. It's about 2 hours away from where I live now..in my hometown that I still frequent.  I'd tell you but I'd have to kill you.

Well I just got an email from the whiskey jewbilee revoking my purchase. Not sure what I did wrong.

Were you in attendance on Thursday night in Chicago? I think those that attended get first shot and if there are any leftover then to SCN members. I could be entirely wrong though.

The WSR pricing makes me think that she either got invoiced for OWA by accident or she got mixed up and put OWA prices on the W12. But then again, I look at the prices on the other stuff and I have to just scratch my head in bewilderment...and envy!

Picked up a couple RHF today as it is a little scarce in my area, so I generally buy it if I see it. $60
