Bought two OF 1920 Prohibition Style for $35.99 each and a Store Select Starlight 4-Grain Bourbon, Barrel Proof, for $31.99.

I also cashed in some VIP points to enter the chain's Pappy/BTAC in-store right-to-buy lottery.

I would have bought so many OF 1920's at that price! $20 cheaper than any place around me! Great juice too

Enjoy!

Cheers!

Couldn’t agree more. I’d buy two cases at that price! OF 1920 is one of my top five (maybe even top three) favorite whiskeys this year. I’m not even an OF guy but that stuff is magic, at that price it’s highway robbery.

Picked up a bottle of ECBP C917. First bottle I have seen on the shelf around me.

Been waiting for that to drop here! A117 and B517 have been stellar, really interested to see how C917 turns out.

This is making finally want to take the plunge on this.

It’s really, really good. Haven’t met anyone who doesn’t like it. Competes toe to toe with bourbons well outside its price bracket IMO.

For me, this Buffalo Trace product was very disappointing - the standard Buffalo Trace is better IMHO (and much less expensive!)

That’s interesting.  I really like it, perhaps even more so than other BT mashbill #2 bourbons like ETL and Blanton’s.

Although I didn’t love my first bottle of OF 1920, i decided to give it another chance since one of my locals had it on sale for $49.  Also picked up the store’s most recent Russell’s Reserve SB Store Select for $39 and one of my favorite Scotches on sale for $59.

They only had three on the shelf.  The sales clerk says someone else came in and bought a couple of bottles and another bottle earlier in the day.

It is one of my favorite releases within the past few years.  I have the option to buy more next weekend since they are going to have another 20% sale next Saturday.  It is normally $59.99 and is on sale this month for $44.99.  They had a 20% off sale today and are having another 20% sale off next Saturday.  In addition, every $100 worth of purchases provides an entry into the in-store Pappy/BTAC right-to-buy lottery.

Well, everyone’s taste buds are unique - that’s what makes this “hobby” interesting!  I think the slightly lower proof makes it seem like watered-down, more bitter  ETL to me.

I agree that everyone's palate is different and unique and it does make the hobby interesting.

I hope you didn't think I was being rude or snobbish with my comment, because that was not my intent and I apologize if it came across that way.

First time I've seen ECBP in the wild. Picked it up and will bunker it until I get a C917 to try SBS with a fellow SB'er (@Bnrhodes3)

Happy hunting!

Cheers!

Dang! lol. Sun Stop? Jacqueline told me I should grab a few more bottles, but I figured they would sit on the shelves since they've been there for so long.

Yep! Sun stop. You can still grab a few more. I left (4) on the shelf for you :D

Cheers!

One of my main stores helped me out with a WLW and Four Roses LE small batch. This is becoming an expensive fall, and it isn't over yet, thankfully....
