Yep! Sun stop. You can still grab a few more. I left (4) on the shelf for you :D

Cheers!

Cool! When I went in, I only saw 5 at the time, so I thought you nabbed the rest. I wasn't really too concerned about it - Blanton's is the only thing I have multiple bottles of at this point, so I haven't made it a habit of bunkering anything yet.

I found a new batch of 4R SiB PS at the LS today.   It was OESF recipe, aged 8y, 9m.  Also found WTRB on sale at the grocery.  I've been wanting to try it.

Picked up my first barrel proof bourbon today ECBP B517, all I can say in WOW, I love the intense, deeper flavors. Can't wait to try the four roses barrel proofs.

Sorry to say this, but you are spoilt for life. Now you won't be able to enjoy anything below 100 proof.

Also incredibility smooth. Less burn than less proof bourbons.

Snagged a Parker’s 11 at retail on my way home - it’s been in the house for 20 minutes - I’ve already cracked it and am waiting for the little people to fall asleep before unwinding and giving it a go

Picked up a bottle of this today ay a Chicago burbs Binny's. My first one. It was $79.99 plus $10 tax which puts it at the before tax price at home. Cracking it on Thanksgiving. Yeah..I know..not bourbon.

B517 is stellar. My first barrel proof was an ECBP as well, and it was a total eye-opener. It's like discovering a whole new continent.

One of my main stores helped me out with a WLW and Four Roses LE small batch. This is becoming an expensive fall, and it isn't over yet, thankfully....

You've had one heck of a fall huh

Yep. I have tried to cultivate a few good relationships with store owners/managers over the years. I go into the fall with low expectations because I know everything gets harder every year, and if I get an LE or two that I'm interested in I consider it a nice bonus. This year I've gotten more than I expected. I've tried to keep the good karma and have brought in a bunch of good bottles to share with people as a little thank you. I also tell these people to just let me know if they want to taste them and I'll open the bottles I'm buying on the spot. This approach has worked well for me. But I've also enjoyed getting to know these people and consider them friends so it works out for everyone.

But.... I've paid MSRP for everything I've bought, and I've still spent $2k on whiskey in the last month. I'll need to brace for the VW release and still haven't picked up a Parker's. Thankfully I'll be well stocked for a while

I'd take this lot over a Pappy 20 any day.

That's good to hear... but I'd still like to get one.  Gotta try all the BTAC and VW at some point, right? They've been bottled unobtainium to me for years. I'll admit the PVW23 isn't something I'll seek again, but there's a certain degree of satisfaction in just acquiring the unicorns at retail regardless...

Grabbed an ETL for 37, left one for the next person as they never show up out here (and Ive got one bunkered and don't turn towards it too often).

Elmer hit the area en masse today which is very rare around here. I didnt clear any shelves but ended up with 4 bottles. now I can ignore it for a few years.
