lcpfratn
Got back last night from a trip to Denmark. Picked up 3 different Blanton's SFTB bottles from 2017/2018 dump dates for around $100-120 each, and grabbed 2 more of the 4R 2017 SmB LE for about $140 each to keep for a rainy day. They still had 2 left and if they are there next time I go over I may buy them too. I got to try an interesting rye from Germany called Stork Club. It's 100% rye, 3-4 years old, 110 proof, and was quite good. Finished in ex bourbon and white wine casks. I am not sure if it's available in the US but I think I will get a bottle if I see one again. I'm not really a rye fan but it was quite impressive. I was obviously looking in the wrong shops during my trip to Denmark this summer. I did pass on some Blanton’s SFTB since I already have several, but I would not pass on a Four Roses SmB LE if I saw one. If you care to share that store location via PM, my son will be there this weekend so maybe I could talk him into bringing me one back. If you haven’t been to Braunstein Distillery yet, and like single malts, you should check them out. Some of their stuff is getting some decent age on it now and is pretty darn good...although not cheap. The have open house tours the first Saturday of every month (reservations and fee required) but their gift shop is open daily during the week. Phil T
In Houston visiting my sis and picked up an OWA and a MMPS from Spec's. Gonna open the MM today. Killed the Antique over the previous 3 days.
Whiskeythink.com
Was hoping to find a 1792 SW (was at the distillery last weekend & they said theyre out there now), but no luck, so pick up an OE7. If those are being phased out, gotta start hoarding now.
mosugoji64
Mrs. Mosugoji picked up 2 bottles of JB Repeal Batch at Fry's (Kroger) on sale for $9 each when you buy 2. It's good and pretty flavorful for 86 proof. Nothing earth-shattering, but a great deal at $9!

Bob_Loblaw
Never had M10. Hear mixed reviews. Mostly that the past years were likely older juice and much better. The 4RSiB will be opened along with the 10 PS bottles shortly for my 4RImmersion Event. Did not not really need another ECBP and actually declined to drive to the store earlier this week for it. But more arrived and I can’t pass it up at $42!

Lately, $70 or higher seems to be the norm for it in my area.

Richnimrod
Old Ezra BP, 117. Good; but not fabulous, when compared with OGD 114, at considerable fewer slices of cheddar. OOOOOPS! I assumed this thread was closed with the Fall issue having been available for a while. This shoulda been in that thread. ENYAW
I know I am supposed to post what I bought today. But instead I decided to post what I did not buy today. Due to availability/price in this area, I count on my Straight Bourbon friends and save my Weller purchases for our Bardstown gatherings.
