I’m interested to see the pricing because you can get 14 year old KC barrels at 120 proof for $45. Why would I pay more for a 13 year, 107 proof?

That mash bill of 84% corn caught my eye. MGP doesn't offer a bourbon with that corn %, and I can't recall if any of the majors do, either. Hhhhhmmmm. They are finding and selling a lot of 12-14yr old barrels lately, mostly under new labels and WAY over priced.

There is some conversation over the similarities and differences between the different Beam products over in this thread, to me the profile of Baker's, and Booker's for that matter, isn't super similar to KC. After ND, the brand went to Beam (Clermont) then to BT (Frankfort) now Loisville? This is quite confusing. Sazerac didn't sell the brand and Buffalo Trace (Sazerac) is the listed applicant. Sazerac's Kentucky distilleries are in Frankfort (BT) and Bardstown (Barton). The application lists DSP-KY-113 (BT), DSP-KY-24 (Glenmore in Ownesboro, owned by Sazerac but not in use for distillation as far as I know), and DSP-KY-12 (Barton). So it seems as though Sazerac is having someone else make Old Taylor. New Bernheim (Heaven Hill) is in Louisville and Heaven Hill does (did?) contract distillation. Considering Buffalo Trace can probably put everything it makes into one of its currently produced brands at a higher price, maybe it makes sense to have Old Taylor contract distilled.

Unless this is a placeholder, this look to me to sit just under their repurposed Baker's. Hopefully it's a good bourbon at a good price (that people outside of Kentucky can buy).
