The Old Tub Bottled in Bond looks interesting.  Beam is really into Bottled in Bond these days.

It's been a gift shop item for a number of years now in 375ml bottles, I would guess that is where the 750's are destined to show up as well.

Maybe it's just a placeholder, but interesting that the CS KC Rye is the exact same proof as last year's.

Probably why they made it 80 proof... So they could water or down and remove the bite.

Just add diet Coke, right?

Kevin, your last few posts certainly indicate that more and more upstarts are piling onto the aged Dickel sourced bandwagon.

Excited for the Four Roses but that label told me nothing other than that there will be a release this year (which would have been shocking if there wasn’t one). I’m curious what the blend will be.

The name “Cascade Blonde” prompted a closer look from me due to a potential Dickel tie in.  Full blown “Cascade Hollow Whiskey Co. on the label should provoke a “Lucy, you got some ‘splainin’ to do!” reaction from Diageo...  :D

I'm totally buying one of those Woodford holiday label bottles. I'm such a sucker for that kind of thing.

I’ll have to buy one just because of the instructions on the back for how to repurpose the cork into a fishing bobber!

The guys that source this run a distillery not far from here. This one is barrel proof, as was their last release from this series (14 year light whiskey from MGP at 145 proof - ridiculous but surprisingly drinkable at that proof). This one is a TN distilled rye, likely Jack Daniel's, though they can't officially confirm that. They've said it's a 5 year, though if that label mockup is accurate it looks like it's just a hair under 6. The 14 year light whiskey retailed for about $58 here in Iowa, and I think the Rye will sell for about the same. The Rye is already available for stores to order in Illinois and should be in Iowa as soon as the state approves it (which means probably in a couple months, lol).

People always assume TN sourced is Dickel but why not JD? BF seems to contract distill and sell barrels from KY. Why not JD which has a ton of stock.

Gotta wonder how much Beam plans on charging for 13 year age stated single barrel Bakers . . . Probably north of $200 right?

If I had to guess I would think less I would think it would be closer in line to the KC LE pricing, but one never knows.

It looks like they aren’t very good at math.
