fishnbowljoe
In another thread, ABVT inquired about an update on my Weller’s. Well here it is. It’s not broken down as far as old, new, or paper label bottles are concerned, but I did include bottle sizes. I also didn’t include which of each variety were open, if any. parksmart
I don’t have nearly the number of overall Weller bottles as Weller Ho FnBJoe. And definitely don’t have anything beyond the Weller 12, OWA and SR bottlings. And certainly don’t have any of the older bottlings like the Centennial and paper label SR/age stated OWA. But dammit, I’ll take small solace in that I have more bottles of OWA (mostly the prior gen squat round bottles, along with a few current gen OWA) than Weller Ho FnBJoe. Woohoo! To quote one Prince Akeem from the movie “Coming to America”.......”Yes! In the face!” Just messing with ya, Joe (aka King Weller Ho)........
fishnbowljoe
It’s all good Park. Ceptin’ one thing. I’ve made a lot of my 2018 Weller Blend over the last 3 years. By a lot, I mean a crap ton. The ratio of my blend is: 3 parts OWA-1 part Weller SR-1 part Weller 12. I’d have a helluva lot more OWA if I hadn’t done my blends. Can’t complain though. I love my Blend. Biba! For the most part, I’ve been able to find and enjoy my Weller’s over the years without too many problems. Sometimes it was pure luck, like being in the right place at the right time, or having my name drawn in charity lotteries, etc. Other times, well I’d be a real ‘ass hat’ if I didn’t give a shout out to all the folks that have helped me out along the way. Salude! Cheers! Biba! Joe
JoeTerp
All this Weller stash talk had me curious to look up mine: WSR - 1 - 1.00L OWA - 7 - 750 mL W12 - 2 - 750 mL SBBlend - 1 - 750mL WFP - 3 - 750 mL WLW - 1 - 750 mL 15 total - more than I would have thought, but still a Weller beginner

Clueby
I had to check my Weller stash: Open bottles = 4 OWA 750 SP W12 750 WFP 750 2016 WLW "Old" style bottles = 11 WSR 750 x 2 OWA 750 x 6 OWA 750 Binny's SP OWA 1.75 W12 1L "New" style bottles = 10 WSR 750 WSR 750 SP WSR 1L WSR 1.75 OWA 750 x 3 W12 1.75 WFP 750 SP x 2 4 open, 21 sealed. I wanna be @fishnbowljoe when I grow up! I haven't had any bourbon since around Thanksgiving. I finally have some taste back so maybe I'll need to try out the palate with some OWA or WFP tonight.

TehRegion219
Opened Wellers, all 750’s: 1 SiB WSR 1 WSR 1 OWA- cork 1 W12 1 Sb Blend Bunker, all 750’s with 1 exception: 6 WSR 1 WSR-1.75 3 W12 1 OWA- new label, but with twist top 1 WFP 17 total Im still new to the bourbon scene, but I quickly gravitated towards the wheated goodness. I’ve gone thru a fair share of 750 Wsr in the last 2 years since I’ve began hoardi... I mean collecting , but I limit the premium wellers to 1 or 2 pours a month (if that) with the wife. I’m still waiting for a crack at the btac line, but soon the stars will align and I’ll find some at msrp (insert Gatsby laugh meme here)

Jazzhead
On the subject of Weller, I have one two-thirds -gone bottle of Stitzel-Weller-era Antique 107 which has pride of place at the beach crib and one Buffalo Trace Kosher Wheat. I was in Cook's liquors in Hadden Twp. New Jersey yesterday and saw a bottle of Weller 12 for $299. It's still there. Hatchertiger
The Weller in my stash was gifted to me by someone who attend a football tailgate I host. Told him I thought I could help him get rid of that. First wheated bourbon I ever tried.
BigSkyDrams
As I’ve said in some other threads, my version of stashing is pretty much divvying my purchases into “open now” or “save for later” bottles. Here’s what I’ve accumulated in the latter category while consuming what I think is plenty of great stuff that falls into the former. I’ve also got another Blanton’s gold and a few store selection Blanton’s in a night stand (excess Blanton’s-only storage since they’re squat bottles and still in the boxes), plus a few opens and an infinity bottle. I had it out like this because I was trying to decide what to open tonight, and thought it an opportune time to reorganize these deep cabinet dwellers. Still not decided on what I’ll crack for NYE, but leaning toward the ORVW. Happy New Year! Edited December 31, 2020 by BigSkyDrams Typo
LCWoody
I’ve had to move a lot of my “stash” over the past few days.
