mal00768
Picked up a bottle of 4R OBSK. (I’m up to six recipes now!) Also looked like I barely missed out on some Bakers 13 year. Bummer Edited November 2, 2019 by mal00768
JakeySnakes
Picked up my first bottle of OG BIB. 114 has been a long time favorite of mine, but for some reason never gravitated toward the BIB. Had a pour in a bar the other night and it hit all the right notes for me, so looking forward to making my way through the bottle.
markandrex
I was killing some time in LB while the wife shopped near by. They had a release earlier today but I didn’t feel the need to stand in line. Lots of choices but nothing I had to have. Anyway, I found these two hiding behind some Woodford. BMartin42
The wife grabbed a MM 2019 Holiday Edition while grocery shopping. It’ll get added to the Christmas decor on the bar when it goes up.
Ckh
1.75 of Weller Special Reserve, with a discount and tax, $60.00. Deal or not? Could have picked up Blantons for $95 but passed. Edited November 2, 2019 by Ckh

Could have picked up Blantons for $95 but passed. Although it wouldn't have been considered anything but a rip-off a few years ago, in today's market (especially if you're in a 'dead-zone for Weller brands), and if it's a brand you really love; I'd say it's not too bad a deal. I wouldn't pull out the wallet for it; but I have several on the shelf, and really don't pour it all that often. ... And, those were bought for under $23 per 750, if memory serves.

Maybe you could go back and say, "I was in earlier and bought an X like I could, but I saw a Y so came back. While I'm here, any chance I could buy one more of X?" Once in awhile I get the glance-around and a, "Well, yeah, since you came back . . ." And if it doesn't work, at least you get a Y. CardsandBourbon
Didn't get anything today but I was in Louisville yesterday with some time to kill so I hit a few of the smaller stores just to see if I could stumble on to anything. Nothing spectacular but I couldn't pass up grabbing a couple of the Repeal Batch at $10.99. Been wanting to try the RY 100 proof and at $21.99 I thought what the hell. If I don't like it I can use it as a mixer. Had tried the Woodford Wheat Whiskey at a barrel pick and really liked it. The Old Ezra 90 proof is another one that I enjoy and figured I'd grab a bottle. Any of course you can never have too many bottles of wine.

Vosgar
I'd been such a good boy for soooo long at not buying bourbon just because the price was great, but today I caved and bought a RR10yr for $21.99. I just couldn't stop myself........ The conversation that went on in my half empty skull went something along the lines of: How much whiskey do you already have? Answer: Way too much So why are you even thinking about buying more? Answer: Because I'm an idiot, but it's a great price!!! Should buy a case or two? Answer: I really, really, want to but that would be beyond stupid Finally I justified the purchase of one bottle by remembering I'd recently finished one of these, and even though there are numerous other ones already in the bunker, I should replace the dead one. While I was at it, bought a Rare Breed for $37.99 and a bottle from the darkside. So much for my bourbon zen
