Unless you're a real 4R fan boy, I wouldn't worry about it. I enjoyed my bottle but, for $60, I wouldn't buy another. Lots of other stuff in that price range that I prefer - ECBP, Booker's, Stagg Jr., Belle Meade Reserve, 1920, RR SiB...

Whats the threshold? In a control state i saw this at $60-$70 for 15 yr. seemed like too much for me. What is yalls opinion?

Yeah...I caved and went back Friday and purchased a bottle. It's not bad. A little different, so I'm going to enjoy this one, but probably won't buy another.

I use it to down proof Stagg Jr. when I come across a mediocre batch that doesn't take water well. On 3/1/2020 at 2:59 PM, Vosgar said: IIRC, GaryT will tell you to buy it. Myself, eh, not so much. However, if you ever stumble onto some AAA 10yr...... that's another story I know I am tardy on my thank you to you both. I just wanted you all to know I appreciate the help & feedback. I did take the advice & passed. Thanks again. Cheers
afmadd
An allocated drop in Williamsburg VA. Passed on Blanton's for 60, Buffalo Trace for 27, and Eagle Rare for 30. I did not pass on ECBP A120, though!
TehRegion219
WTMK rye - $180ish WTKSBS -$60ish WTRB -$50ish BB 25yo -$180ish ses like the allocated stuff dried up for the time being. I’ve boinced around a few Binnys and the EC A drop seems to be last LE stuff they got unless they’re sitting on it for one weird reason.
skidfive
Oh boy... where do i start. OFC 1993 - $10,000 Weller Full proof - $599 ETL 100 - $599 Redemption 18 rye - $699 ER17 - $2000 All other BTAC - above secondary All Van Winkle line, 1.5x secondary Elijah Craig 18 - $300 Joseph Magnus cigar blend - $500 Crazy prices. fosmith
My local Safeway today had Evan Williams black label for $14.39 for a 1.75L. Cheapest I've ever seen it. It's not a bad bourbon and was tempted but I really prefer the 100 proof EW and it was a super value at $12.59/750.

It's odd that I see it at my local Safeway more often than in any liquor stores I frequent. And they had Old Elk for $57. Maybe I should post this in the "signs that the boom has peaked" thread...
