There wags a bloodline for 9 inch beagles but it died out in the 1300s. If you see someone offering “ Pocket” beagles, walk away as those dogs are crossed with something else. I agree, Pocket beagles are the result of unscrupulous breeding. 13" beagles are the perfect size. Even though a little bigger than I was expecting, once I saw our beagle, I was hooked. She was so small. Honestly, potty training is a lot of work and takes a lot of bourbon. Fortunately, we have a chi-yorkie, 7 years old, who is the alpha and she quickly trained the beagle puppy who is 2 years old. Nothing dares enter the yard. The beagle rules her domain. The neighbors have ask why we don't hunt her. The answer is simple. She is sweet with a nice personality. I have had hunting dogs. Those days are in the past. As for cats, we have several feral cats in the neighborhood. I feed them on the front porch but keep them out of the back yard with the dogs. They do their job and everyone in the neighborhood rewards them justly. In the winter, a few neighbors set up warm housing for the feral cats. Followed by a few pours of SAOS BP 108 proof. Feeling no pain heading into a hectic week of work and soccer while watching a Hallmark movie. I was watching the Packers-Saints game but everyone can guess how what happened.

We wanted a small beagle so we looked about for a reputable breeder. This male should top out at 15 lbs. Looking forward to many enjoyable hours with this one. Aww now that's a cute beagle. He will you bring you so much joy in the future I know. Seeing your new puppy just makes me want to share a pic of my dog. She's coming up on 2 years old now, and has been a hoot to have around.

Bob_Loblaw
Well things got wild in a hurry and it ended up being a unreal bottle share lineup. I’m posting the table pic from my phone and will circle back later with more details.

0895
Well this is interesting. These two are actually quite similar, but the RR2002 definitely has a bitter oak finish that’s slightly off putting. Im enjoying it a lot more tonight than I did previously, but MK17BiB still takes the win overall.

Okay, to be honest, a vatting of a 110 proof MMCS and 94 proof MM46. This is pretty darned good. I just might have to............ uh never mind. Biba! Really just a list of the pours I tried and I gave each a simple letter grade as with all the conversation and Bears comeback (worst 3-0 team ever) as well as very small pours it was hard to get really detailed. The pours are in the order I had them: 1 - WT KS - Solid B. I started with this and immediately wondered why I do not buy it often 2 - RRSiB WH G - A - This one reminded me why I do not buy the KS 3 - RRSiB WH M - D - This was the first RR that I can recall thinking was downright bad, strange funk at the end. This is when everyone else arrived and it started getting wild. I went straight for the Blaum 11 year next knowing it is right in my wheelhouse 4 - Blaum 11 yr store pick - A+ - Just lovely 5 - '96 W12 paper label - A+ - Maybe it was just the excitement from drinking from such an old release, but man was this a fantastic bourbon. I'd like to try it blind against a recent release to see how much if my impression was hype. 6 - 4R - OESO 11yr - B+ 7 - 4R - OESO 8yr - A- Interesting how the younger barrel really shined here. Juts loads of that ripe summer fruit all over the place. 8 - '16 THH - A - Really my first experience with Handy and it was downright fantastic with oranze zest, baking spices and a tough of heat. wonderful 9 - '98 WT Doughnut - B - Pretty solid, and the finish had an candy coating like flavor. Imagine putting a handful of Skittles in your mouth and as the candy coating dissolves that is what I got here. Others agreed on the profile, but I think enjoyed it more than I did. I try my best not to get caught up in the dusty hunt so happy this was not a home run for me. 10 - Michters BP Rye - A - One of my favorites so I could not resist a small sip. Delivered as expected 11 - EHTBP 2020 - A - Incredibly soft and approachable. If you gave this to me blind and an O/U of 110 in proof I would lock in that under. This release has gotten good reviews some of which have compared it to GTS. One of the guys did a blind of the '20 EHT vs the '18 GTS and said it was not even a fair fight, side by side the GTS was much superior. 12 - Stray MGP rye - 5 yrs in 30 gallon barrels - A - This one was really good and the smaller barrels certainly seem to have helped it age faster as it had the viscosity and body of a much older rye. 13 - JDBP Tennessee Taster Rye - B+ 14 - KO Batch 7 - B+ 15 - Old Pepper MGP - A- Overall it was a fantastic time with a solid cast of bottles, food, and people. Everyone was uber respectful about their pours and also in selecting things they wanted to drink versus only the expensive bottles. As we were wrapping up someone commented that nobody had taken a pour from either WLW on the table! The general response was "I've had it several times, I know it's amazing, but I don't need to have it now simply because it is there. Other than the '18 blind Stagg none of the 4 Stagg bottles were poured. Same for the VWLotB. There was a '79 WT from a decanter that I also did not try, I had it last time and am just not sold that the dusty profile is for me so I did not bother this time around. And bonus, the wife was pleasantly surprised to find me coherent upon my return. Paced myself well with probably .25-.33oz pours and lots of water in between as well as food. Weather was awesome. It was a great day.
