RT Fan
Good thing I have another in the bunker and this is readily available. Unlike others which have become unobtainium.

IamMatt
I was at a big box liquor store a while back and a guy was grabbing a KC Rye off the shelf. I asked him, "just out of curiosity, what makes you pick the standard bottle over the single barrel store pick at the same price?" "The what?" I explained. He bought the pick. Mission accomplished.
JCwhammie
Last of this oak bomb 15yr 4 mo KC. I put enough to bring it down to probably 95 or so proof. That's the sweet spot for this barrel. It's far too tannic at 120 proof.

I think HWMWND Act 4 (maybe Act 5) was the last of the great ones that had the 5/18yr rye In the Rendezvous component of the port-finished blend (CRS kicking in?). When they (High West) sold out to Continental (?), the Rendezvous Rye went to a 4/7 yr blend and my favorite Christmas dram went into the pooper IMHO. And this year's Act 10 is now $150 a bottle. They can go pound sand . . .

I recently tried 10.1 and while reasonably good, the price and being spoiled from the old releases ultimately kept my money in my pocket.

No. I have, on occasion, drunk gin and tonics and vodka tonics. And sometimes I drink tonic water all by itself. This was just a case of two old soldiers heading off to the recycling bin at the same time.
