Richnimrod
Grabbed another of those 'back of the closet' bottles that need to be finished off. Jack Daniels Barrel Proof. It's a bit under half full. I shall endeavor to rectify that condition over the next week or two.
mbroo5880i
Wheater Friday because I feel contrarian. After a trip to Arni's Pizza and Menards, I am now home and enjoying a pour of Rebel 10. My wife is watching the new Hallmark Christmas so I guess I will have another pour.
Kepler
Wheater Weekend will have to wait another day for me, as rye Friday is a just a habit for me nowadays. Working my way up to the rye spice with a high rye bourbon for my first pour of the night... Bulleit single barrel store pick Lincoln Rd in my glass.
Thomm
Having another go at the 120 proof KC store pick. Such a shame I have to be up at 3 am and drive 12 hours tomorrow morning, or I would be making a serious dent in this. On the other hand, maybe that's a good thing.
fishnbowljoe
Long week. I’m having a nice pour of Blanton’s this evening. This bottle probably won’t last the evening. There ain’t much left.

ebo
As of right now.... I'm not drinking any alcohol at all. My blood work came back with elevated liver functions, what ever that means, exactly. I was going to give it a rest anyway, but that news kind of put a stamp of urgency on it. It's been 35 days since I've had alcohol of any kind. I go for another blood test in a week. The Doc says the no drinking for a month or so should put me back in good standing with my liver. I was sitting in front of the computer in the evenings watching YouTube vids and reading the various forums I'm on... it's amazing how much Bourbon you can drink while doing that. I'll be back to enjoying Bourbon again... but I'll keep a better watch on my consumption. Be mindful of how much you are consuming my friends, it can sneak up you quickly.

I had the same thing, Dr. ordered an ultrasound and it came back 100% good. No worriers, just take a break for a few weeks. If there’s no long term scarring, the liver will just heal itself. Maybe ask for an ultrasound to get a closer look

Maybe ask for an ultrasound to get a closer look I have no expert knowledge on the subject, but from what I understand, the liver needs time to recover. I've always heard it's the people who drink heavily every day that punish their liver the worst. For that reason, I try not to drink for multiple days in a row when I can. Weekends and vacations make that difficult for me, as I usually always drink heavily on Fridays and Saturdays. But in between, during the week, I try to give my body a break as often as I can. I need to practice what I preach, so the phrase "do as I say, not as I do" applies. Good luck to you on your dry period and your recovery.

Wheater Weekend (Saturday night) continues with Maker's BRT-01 with a small ice sliver from the ice maker. I normally prefer Weller CYPB to just about any Maker's iteration, ... but tonight I prefer this BRT-01. It's not the higher proof, mind you. Tonight I have a bit of "palate burn" from a quite spicy hot jalapeno-infused Margarita before dinner (which was several hours ago but still hanging around), ... so high proof is not what I'm looking for. There's just something about the MM profile that kind of soothes the palate, even compared to Weller liquid, which is also usually a great choice when you are looking for something with a soft palate. MM is hitting the spot better tonight.

Skinsfan1311
After a long weekend of putting in the work at my buddies farm, I earned this It's the first time I've bought this in years, but I blew the cobwebs & dust out of my wallet & snagged a bottle for $99.00 up in PA. I forgot how much I love Booker's.
Skinsfan1311
I reused a glass, which is rare....but I had a looooong day at the farm, and an earlier pour of Booker's has made me too lazy to grab a fresh glass...

I felt like it had less peanuts and hatred and more caramel. Enjoyed it so much I had a second glass.
