ACDetroit
Jefferson’s Small Batch (Batch 01, Bottle #643) much milder than I remembered. Quite a bit of citrus and peel to the nose with just a bit of toffee (not to mention a little burn to sinus). The first sip is a bit wheatie to me, but soft the legs are quite thin but slow to make its way back to their origin. The finish is a bit mottled to me not dry but a little oak with a numbing on the back palette.
ggilbertva
I broke down and opened up an Old Fitz Prime 90 proof. Distilled 1976. Another great bourbon by SW. I love the Fitz BIB and this is nearly as good.
Luna56
For me tonight it's EC 18. I have a little ER 10 left over and poured a small amount for comparison's sake. I love both of these but the EC 18 is the clear winner for depth, intensity and character. That being said, ER 10 is truly fine whiskey and will always have a place in my cabinet. Very nice indeed. The first bottle of EC 18 I bought was for some friends who were kind enough to share it. I was captivated. Since then I've purchased two more bottles and though there was a bit of subtle variation in the flavors, both were just superb. Nice to see that the ER 10, at ten bucks cheaper, holds its own against it. I get the impression that many here are somewhat put off by the intense oakiness of the EC 18 but I dig it. Well, rambling here, just thought I'd share. I've been enjoying the forum very much, and I toast you all.Cheers!

gblick
Just had my first pour of Weller Antique 107. I like this bourbon, but it has nothing on the Weller 12.ScottI am of the opposite opinion, but maybe it's because I tend to prefer the higher proofs, either that or maybe I've just gotten some very good bottles of the Antique. Special Reserve
Where to find Lot B? Mine has been bunkered for some time, but I did see some in a store the other day. Only the better liquor stores around here carry any of the Van Winkle products. In MI they are hard to get and expensive. Lot B is now $55/bottle or higher. Special Reserve
Last night (Sunday) a little PVW 15 to was away the bad taste of the ASU vs. UM game. The game ended with the joyous App. State celebration about 20 feet in front of me. I stayed to watch them celebrate. They earned it.But now thanks to PVW 15 that bad taste has been washed away.Oh the virtues of bourbon.
