texascarl
Tonite, Old Forester 100 proof AND some Woodford Reserve. What's the good of having so many bottles & so many shot glasses, unless a man can get a bourbon smorgasbord thing going now and then on a Friday night? hollywood
T'Carl, Two excellent choices I might add! Myself, I picked up a bottle of WT Rare Breed yesterday, and a bottle of Old Charter. Sipping on the Rare Breed presently, and tasting very yummy...and powerful..they way I like it! I will say though, folks can make all the jokes they want, I'll drink Old Charter anywhere/anytime. It tastes great, and affordable! Cheeers... See ya, H'wood
Guest **DONOTDELETE**
Pure Kentucky XO! Well aged Heaven Hill whiskey bottled by Evan Kulsveen without the medicinal 'distilled pond scum' smell. Quite good. I reccomend it.

Paradox
Last night I finally opened my bottle of Hancocks Presidents Reserve and I was pleasantly suprised. Tonight I am sipping on one of my personal favorites, Pappy Van Winkle 20 Yr. Now if I just had the guts to open the 23 year old.....

jeff
Old Weller Antique 107. I have ben about half-way through this bottle and I am really comming around to it. Tonight I am drinking it neat. I am still getting some of the tannins in the finish, but the flavor seems more fruity with less of the camphor and green-ness that I picked up before. bobbyc
You are indeed drinking the good stuff , My Friend! At one time it was my favorite and I thought the perfect Bourbon was made and I wanted a case of it! I don't have a favorite anymore, What's in my hand at the moment. I did open a bottle of it last thing at my cookout for the SB group. I will however raise a glass of what I've been drinking today and that is the Old Forester Birthday Bourbon. To your good health and Happiness, Clogsdon!

jeff
AAA 10yo. I contiunue to be amazed at the quality of this very inexpensive bourbon. Nice flavor and smooth finish. I remember growing up as a boy in Frankfort. Several times a week we would drive down wilkinson Blvd to go to my grandmothers house. As we passed the Ancient Age Distillery (what it was called back then) I would gag at the heavy smell of mash in the air. jeff
Old Forester 100 Proof. This is hands down the best bourbon under $15.00. Full bodied and rich with the taste and style of the premium brands. I'm a happy, happy man
Creggor
Hello, To everyone. Long time since I have posted. Drinking some of Julian Vanwinkles 15yr old 107 Proof. Suites me just fine. Was wondering if anyone can shed any lite on another Bourbon I had the pleasure to enjoy this past week. Sometime ago I bought a bottle of Pure Kentucky XO Small Batch Bourbon 107 Proof. I had the pleasure to drink this fantastic Bourbon the past week. The bottle says is was bottled by Pure Kentucky Distilling Company in Nelson County KY. I have an idea as to who's Bourbon this might be. Man I really like this Bourbon. Doe anyone know who's Bourbon this is.. Thanks in advance Creggor. ratcheer
I guess I made a mistake. When I was in Atlanta a couple of months ago, I saw Pure Kentucky XO and looked at it pretty closely, but I passed on it because I had never heard of it and it was quite expensive. I'm glad you're enjoying yours. I also have a guess, but no real knowledge, so I won't speculate as to where it comes from. Tim
bobbyc
It comes from what used to be Willetts at Bardstown , The distillery is down and they run a bottling line there. It is reported that all of the original Willetts stock is depleted and now the Bourbon is being furnished by HeavenHill. Beej can shed a lot of light on this , she has gone up there and checked it all out.
