Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve was put to rest last night. It was a great run but had to make space for another bottle.

Springbank Claret Wood - aged 9 years in bourbon and finished in claret wine barrels. Picked this one up at Binny's on a whim a few months ago. The wine barrels were very prevalent on the pallet and tamed the typical bourbon influences. If tasted with no knowledge of its production, it could be mistaken for a Springbank aged in sherry wood. I liked this one a lot and may pick another bottle before its gone forever as this was an allocated bottle a couple of years ago, something like 7-9K bottles.
