That makes two of us! Let's pour some turkeys later this evening to make up for our foolhardiness!

PVW15, then VOBBIB. Now off to dinner. Maybe I'll open something new when I get back.

Celebrating (early) my "fifth anniversary". Everything tastes sweet today. Doing some PS-select EC18 SB. Followed by several WTAS. Can I (should i?) make it into work tomorrow?

John,

Congratulations on your 5th anniversary! That's great news. As you now know it does get easier with time.

I will have a small taste of PVW 20 to help you celebrate.

The best.

Will

I don't know you but congrats on the anniversary. In your honor, I will have a pour of Booker's CO2-A-18.

Taking a brief respite from reality tonight with a fat pour of baby Saz (not yet, but soon. Thanks, Joe!! ;) ). Maybe an ERSB nightcap.

Perfect spring day here. Mosquitoes are early, but I just hickory-grilled up some fat organic pork chops and the acrid billows of intoxicating hickory smoke kept them at bay. And I smell freakin' fantastic.

Cheers!

Some OWA NAS tonight. This particular bottle has been open for about a month and a half and has gotten better since I first had a pour.

Last night was a fat pour of J.W. Dant BiB '74 followed by a pour of Old Forester BiB bottled in '86. I wish I had a closet full of each.

Had a couple of nice pours of ETL last night and they really hit the spot.

Old Charter Proprietor's Reserve, Louisville, the so-called "slope shoulder" bottle, neat.

One of them SB.com dudes from the Commonwealth sent me up a sample.

I've had it before and I love it, it is one damn fine bottle of whiskey.

Grilled corn husk nose, nutty pecan flavor.

Hey, what ever happen to this label?

I think I'll start the weekend with a solid pour of a 2002 OF Birthday Bourbon. I really love this bottle, but it's toward the end of it and getting a little stale. Guess I'll have to quickly finish it and open another!

Found 2 of those hanging out on a shelf in Florida. Someone posted that the corn content is 86%. I'm assuming that's high and if so that might explain its unique flavor. I also have a square bottle from Frankfort which I haven't opened yet.

After a couple of weeks off from drinking bourbon thanks to a bout with the stomach flu, I enjoyed a couple of pours of Willett Single Barrel Pot Still Reserve with a nice cigar and conversation with my wife on our deck. I can't think of a better way to enjoy the nice weather this evening in the DC area.

Fat pour of ERSB here tonight. Still got a few hours of work to do, but this pour is most welcome. That woody, musty taste that some find objectionable is back! Love it. I've been disappointed with the ERSB lately, but this one is big and bold. Wish they'd number their batches, I'd buy several more of this one.

Cheers!
