Beam Black on cracked ice. The really cool think about this, is that Beam has a special going on. There is a hanging neck band on the bottles, with a $7 mail-in rebate on 1 bottle and $15 rebate on 2 bottles. I bought 2.

Good pick-up, Joe. I really enjoyed my last bottle of Beam Black and will have to look out for the special deal, if it's going on in our area.

Having a pour of WTAS to celebrate being home for a couple days! :)

Just had a pour of Dickel No. 12 and it didn't hit me right at all. It just seemed bland after all the WT I've been drinking lately.

Four Roses Binny's Barrel Strength OESO, neat.

The 4R Rutledge 40th still haunts me.

Kahns OESO for me...... close to the 40th, but no cigar !!!!

Started with some 4R 100th neat then on the rocks. Then compared it with 4R barrel strength ledgers on the rocks. The 100th 17 years is a definite winner between the two even though the Ledger one was quite good already.

The taste a little more complex and the finish is longer and nicer while it is less dry and more balance.

cheers

Old Rip Van Winkle 10yo 107prf, neat.

But just a couple, I have a long day of diving tomorrow, so look out Lexington!!!

You better hide your women (really no need) and the 4R's 100th (if you want any).

Revisiting a Heaven Hill BIB bought last summer in Kentucky for the princely sum of $8.59. I'm wondering how this managed to stay half full in the back of the bunker for the last 10 months. It is simply off the charts in taste/value ratio at 34 cents an ounce and 50% abv.

Started with some Booker's while out for dinner. Ended the night with some ETL and Weller SR. Vacation this year has been pretty sweet. Been with some good friends, had some great meals, and had some good bourbon along the way. Joe

Started last night by finishing off a few pours of an old EWSB 1997 i've had sitting open on the bar for about 3 yrs and it seemed to get better and better the more i drank it. Progressed then to a Blanton's Special Reserve and then to an ORVW 10yo 107 proof (my all time regular pour favourite) and ended with a beautiful drop of SW 1968 Old Fitzgerald from the old Flagship decanter. The order i tasted them in was a really nice succession to the superlative ender. :yum:

Tremendously long day at work but quite successful in getting things done and a new product line launch.

So just started with my daily pour of PVW lot B. I think I will be going to the PVW15 then PVW20 next. And maybe finish it off with some WLW or the 4R 100th that I just got yesterday.

A good pour of JTS Brown BIB last night. I just love the nose, lots of candy tones. Last pour was WTRB. The JTSB is a little hot from time to time because of it's youth, but a good budget bourbon for under $10.

A former neighbor dropped by unexpectedly and we shared a VWFRR. Followed later by pizza and ORVW 10/107.

I did have EW 12 before dinner yesterday and WRMCSO after. The later tasted marvellous!

I had the last pour of ORVW 10/90...the bottle got better as it went on but I prefer the 10/107 to it...don't think I'll be replacing that one anytime soon! I also finished off a sample of 98 WSR from Matty...that was a very good pour...gotta find myself a bottle of that SW goodness! :)

Sipping on some VWFRR and enjoying a cold Boddington's on this warm & breezy afternoon in Ocean City, MD as I eagerly await a friend who's bringing me some locally smoked tuna salad from the local smokehouse.

Life is grand!

Enjoying a 1/2 WTKS - 1/2 WRMCSO. This is the best paring I've done thus far with the WRMCSO. Makes a very smooth and flavorful pour.

Going for a variety of pours tonight. Just finished OGD 114. Grabbing some Lot B next, then might jump to an Irish or Scotch.
