^^^Nice. I'm enjoying some Old Forester birthday bourbon right now, but might have to go for something involving cola later. I've got lots of whiskey that needs drinkin'....

Maker's and coke with some lime juice. Ahhh.... sometimes a bourbon and coke hits just the right spot.

A little bit steamy this evening but that didn't stop me from a short reprise on the front porch with a 2008 ER17. I've moved on to a Weller 12 from Binny's.

No matter the weather, no matter BS at work, no matter redneck Republicans, no matter guilt ridden PC Democrats, no matter the static from the rest of the world, this 4R OESO (from Binny's btw) that I am sippin' neat will let you find peace.

I did come home late last night by train after a couple of days in our fantastic capital city Stockholm. Alongside micro beer from Sweden, Denmark and USA that my lady partner and me enjoined at quality bars I did drink some OGD114 and WT 101 from early 90-is that I had brought with me. Today I had Dickel bc before diner and Forester BIB 1984 and OGD 114 after.

Been too damn busy to drink much, but tonight has been some nice OT 80/6 from 78c. Very nice and some of Reid's 6 year. Can't weight for 2 &3, but with th hi heat in KY, projections are Aug... To hot to ship I guess. Oh well, I have plenty to get through with :)

ER101 followed by a pour of 09 GTS cut down to about 120 proof...good stuff!

Willett in the funky bottle. I'm unimpressed, as I have been before with this same stuff. I doubt I will revisit.

All of the private Willet's I've really liked.

Finished off a BT and now moved on to WLW 09.

Been reading up on the LeChoke affair. Good thing I'm not a NBA fan.

An absolutely godawful week at work (with the prospect of the same as "Version II" starting on Monday...

So I'm savoring some (OK, a lot..) PVW 15... cause I earned it.

Weller Antique, Rock Hill Farms, WT Rare Breed and Van Winkle Family Rye have been my 'go to' bottles these days.

Been sittin' out in the garage watching the bats diving for skeeters, with pours of WT12 Split, Baby Saz, McScrooge's OWA, and ER 101. Wow, how very different whiskies can be...But, all were absolutely wonderful.

I did have Forester BIB 1984 and WT tradition before dinner yesterday and they tasted very good. It was the last out of the old-timer and the taste has approved all the way. Later at night I had to take a fernet branca to settle my stomach after the heavy dinner.

@jburlowski: I'll bet my week at work was worse than yours. Massive layoffs.

I believe in pairing whiskey with the situation. Such a bad situation can not be rewarded. I wanted to feel worse, you know, to get it all over with and prepare for happier times. So it was Ancient Age out of the plastic bottle.

Noah's Mill for the weekend, though. Happier times....

You forgot Four Roses Mariage. Pretty good stuff it was, but not the greatest bourbon I've ever had.

Forgot to add my compliments to Dave Gonano on the selection of that Willett 5 year, very impressive bourbon.

You win.... hope you make it through all this OK. Keep your spirits up and keep pouring the spirits down.

Yeah, I'm fine, but my Ancient Age supplier wasn't. OK, I'll admit. It was Ancient Ancient Age and it was 10 years old. But it's still out of the plastic bottle and I still don't like it.

Makers 46... The more I drink it, the more I like it. Sort of turned my nose up to it at first. Too woody. Tastes like one of my barrel experiments that picked up too much wood. Now that half the glass is gone, it has settled in on me,,,, I think I like it...
