CaptainQ
Love OWA, where does one get the single barrel bottlings? I'd love to get my hands on a bottle or two. Many of the large liquor stores around the nation have SB OWA. I know the Party Source, Julio's and others pick their own barrel. I know the Party Source, Julio's and others pick their own barrel.Gotcha...sometimes the selection in CA can be a bit more limited, unless D&M or K&L gets it. I didn't see any there. And when you're looking at $20-25/bottles, adding on the shipping costs can quickly make it less attractive.

yountvillewjs
Found a 2007 Saz 18...more proof that one can never predict what one may find still out there.Wow! Was it at a reasonable number? And to think I was stoked to find some 2010.
Old Lamplighter
Wow! Was it at a reasonable number? And to think I was stoked to find some 2010.Not bad, $77 including tax. A lot to fork over for 90 proof I realize. Also, I know from the previous tag residue on the bottle that it was not $69 when they first put it on the shelf. This common practice on older BTAC bottles really burns me. If they still have some on the shelf when new releases arrive, they just raise the price on the old. I have even found some stores that leave the newer ones off the shelf until the older ones have sold - at the newer, higher price of course. They also have an '09 that I will be returning to get as soon as payday arrives.Anyhow, I digress. If older rye was not quickly disappearing from the landscape, I would have continued to ignore Saz 18 as I have done the last few years. I have always liked VWFRR a bit more as well as the more affordable Lil Saz, Ritt BIB, WT, etc. Time has come though....
yountvillewjs
I pretty much paid that + tax + shipping for my Saz 18's. Might be expensive in your part of the world, but that is going rate out here. Young's Market strikes again!

There are atleast 2 more OWA 7yr handles there with plenty of dust on them. May have to go back next week.
SeaninSD
Bought a PVW 15 today, probably paid way to much, but they just got the bottle in and I wanted it to have a good home!
SDpappy
Even though the 2011 15 is BT instead to SW, I sometimes prefer the 15 to the 20. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you paid less than $100 for it
G.H.Adams
I placed and order for 1 Eagle Rare 17 2010 and 1 Thomas H. Handy 2010. They should arrive on Friday. Can't find any of the 2011 release except for GTS which I have. The Eagle Rare 17 and the Handy will go into the bunker as I have them open on my bar at this time. smokinjoe
On a long driving biz trip this week, but the miles allowed me to return to areas that carry what I can't get here in Georgia, or what I haven't looked for here. Picked up the following:2 Weller 12's1 Weller 12 Family Size2 Ritt BIB's1 McScrooge's Selection of 2001 EWSB1 Bowman Small Batch Bourbon1 Bowman 10 yr Rye 90 proof1 Private Selection Bernheim Wheat1 EC18 Private Selection (This one is stunningly good, BTW)1 2011 Stagg1 Bitter Truth Celery Bitters1 Bitter Truth Lemon BittersJust to show y'all how f$%&!d up I am, I don't even particularly care for either the Weller 12 or Ritt BIB. But, all of the dire talk made my trigger finger itchy... Just another symptom of Whiskirexia Nervosa...Looking forward to trying the 90 Bowman Rye as compare to Baby Saz, and in comparison to the PS Barrel Strength Bowman Ryes.
