dohidied
Passed on 4 handles of ND OGD 86 and a handle of Beam's Choice 8 year. They wanted $50 a piece. Probably worth it for the OGD, but too high on principal.
jtexaslonestar
Unwillingly, but wisely, passed on a few different whiskies I had not tasted before: Michter's single barrel, and rye; Balcones Brimstone, and Buffalo Trace Single Oak Barrel 100. Better get to cracking on some side work if those want to come home!

Bmac
Got a chuckle of of this today! It amazes me how murderous the prices are. MSRP for the 2yr is 99 bux. I got mine for 59. 239 is outrageous considering MSRP for the 23yr is 199. I would tell the owner that you can get some of this cheaper on eBay. Moretorque05
Passed up bottles of Basil Hayden's at $25 a pop which seemed like a good deal, but it would just sit on my shelf until someone else came over to drink it.Passed by another bottle of E.H Taylor Tornado. Have one already, but all the positive reviews on here are making me think I should grab another.

jtexaslonestar
What is a good price?BillIn several Atlanta shops, it goes for $69.99/bottle. But I have seen between $75-$93, I did not buy it these establishments. The two bottles I have came from different shops but were bought at $69.99/bottle. This has been the going price for all 3 releases here.

Is this a normal price for this bottle? No. That's inline with eBay pricing. I picked up 2 bottles a couple months ago for $62.99 each.
mosugoji64
Passed up the opportunity to get a bottle of WR Double Oaked. Would like to give it a try, but I'm not a big WR fan and $50 seemed like a lot to try it.
c2walker
I came across some ORVW 10/90 and 10/107 for $45 and $50, respectively. I try not to overpay, but given the rarity of anything Van Winkle in my part of the country and the fact that I only have 1 bottle of each I didn't immediately dismiss the idea...that is until I inquired about the price and the shop owner replied "I have an eBay account and I know what I can get. I'm not in the business of givin' discounts." I walked out.

jtexaslonestar
Thought about picking up a Cyrus Noble, first time seeing one, but I figured I would come back next time for it. Saw a lot of WTAS at one store but 90.00 was not in the budget today. :banghead:
