Passed up two bottles of the BT single oak, #104 and #72; at $55 it seemed like a lot for a 375 ml bottle that I may or may not like.

Yeah, I'm constantly passing these up, and they even have some of the better-rated ones: 35, 61, 67, 99, 136, 167, and so on...

Too many other bottles to buy. But there are moments where I'm tempted.

Passed on a WSR 7 year bottle that was shaped like an ORVW 10/107 bottle, was this an older bottle design? Haven't seen one like that before.

Yup. All of the Wellers used to come in that style bottle. You should go back to see if it's a Louisville or Frankfort. If it's Louisville, don't hesitate. Either way it's good stuff and the bottle will look great on your shelf.

Col. E.H. Taylor Sour Mash at below MSRP. Sure, it's rare and collectible, but I just can't convince myself to plunk down for a bottle with such mixed reviews, esp. I'm on the list for the Tornado batch.

Mistake?

Passed on some 2011 batc Handy, eagle, and sazerac. Passed on Hirsch 25 year old. Not that I would buy it at 300 bucks. Passed on some 01 Evan Williams single barrels, but I think I'll return to get one or 2 at 28 a piece

Passed up the new EH Taylor release (Warehouse C). I think the store I was at just wants too much for it. Probably why there are still several bottles sitting there.

EH Taylor Single Barrel, High West OMG and Bourye and some 01 EWSB. Actually only noticed the Taylor was the single barrel today. Also the first time I've seen the OMG.

I passed up a recent shipment of EH Taylor Jr. Warehouse C, Tornado Surviving Bourbon @ $80.

Damn... and I thought $67 at my store was too high!

I passed on a handful of Willett 18 Year priced at $171.99. I have liked the Willett's that I have had in the past.....but not that much!

Maybe I'm wrong, but I swear I only paid like $55-59 for the EH Taylor Single Barrel. So $67.99, to me, seems high. Especially when PVW15 and VW12 are cheaper...

I passed on some old school looking basil haydens with silver foil on the top, and some heaven hill number 1 blended bourbon that looked to be from the 90s

Retail price on the single barrel is lower than the prices for the sour mash and the tornado. Not sure why.

Passed on a Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Seasoned Oak for $90. Never tried it, I am going to do a little more investigating before deciding whether or not to go back for it.

I passed on a PVW15 at $259.99. The same store had a VWSR Lot B for $119.99.

On my way out the door the owner asked me what I wanted to buy. I told him nothing that he wanted to sell.

Wow, and I thought the PVW20's I passed on yesterday for $160 & $230 at two stores were the pinnacle of unethical price-gouging. Time to adjust the absurdity scale again. At this point, I'm just waiting to see it for $400 so I can snap a pic and make it my profile icon.

Passed on a 1.75L dusty of Louisville Old Charter 10 (86 proof) for $40 too.

Passed up an IW Harper dusty, a bunch of 1983 OF Primes (bought one), an old Glenmorangie 10 year, a dusty Old Crow... Possibly others that I'll check out next time I go.

Probably should have picked up the Harper...
