In Chicago, saw all 4 Col EH Taylors, PHC Cognac, Pappy 23, Handy, BTSOP, BTEC, and 375 of High West 16, purchased none. Karen will be proud!

It ain't easy but sometimes you just gotta walk away. Maybe next time, right?

Was in NJ on business again and saw at least 4 Handy (didn't check vintage), and a bunch of Ritt BiB on the shelf - strange since some have stated a problem finding rye in NJ. PM me if you want to know where.

Went to the flea market in Canton, TX today, passed up quite a few empty decanters, and one empty ER101 bottle in a wooden box. It was nice to see some of the styles and things, but I don't want empty bottles hanging around the house like that.... ;)

Actually saw an AH Hirsch 16 yr on the shelf today. Too bad it was $650.

Same store also had a $185 bottle of Stagg sitting in the front window baking in direct sunlight all day.

I spotted the new Elijah Craig 20 year on the shelf for $120 today...next to a throng of the 18 year for $40.

Aside from two extra years in the barrel, you'd think for the extra $80 we'd at least get a fancy new bottle. Not that I care about such things.

And when you consider that the 18yo might have older whiskey in it anyway, is the extra $80 really worth it?

Yeah, the 107 seems to be the one I will find fairly easily, and for under 40.

Way too high

Locally ORVW 10/90 is $35 and the 10/107 is $39

I concur. Just purchased some for $30 and $35 respectively.

Passed on the exact same, save 1 of the 09 SBs.

Question...what's a fair price on that 08 Mariage and is it even worth it? Read lots of mixed things and would like your input.

I went to the grocery store yesterday. Of course I stopped in the liquor area. Last time I was there they had two bottles of JRPS 17 Batch 1. Only one left now. Someones buying it, but it's not me. I passed. I liked it well enough, but not for $85.

I passed up the only bottle of the E.H. Taylor tornado batch I've ever seen in the wild.

You know you have a friend in IowA that can't find any of this?

a bottle of pvw23...at 350$ it can sit on the shelf.

That's practically half off of the price I saw!

Passed on a few over the weekend -

CEHT Barrel Proof - $72

CEHT Single Barrel - $65

Willet Rye 6yr, 110pf - $35k

I was tempted to get the Barrel Proof Taylor, but couldn't pull the trigger. I think I may opt for a FR SmB LE 2011 instead...

Wow, $35,000! Has Willett teamed up with Dalmore?
