Yeti
I also passed on some Devil Dancer at $25/4 so $6.25 per bottle. Seemed insane, and glad to hear an opinion supporting the pass.
MyOldKyDram
Buncha Charter 10 @15 4R Secretariat @ $100 Dozen or so 4R 2013 LE 1B @ $75+ James E Pepper 15 yo rye @ $154 Ardbeg Beist @ $111 And I also "passed" on a few tax stripped OGDs and a handle of WT 8 yr. WAINWRIGHT
You need to be a little more persuasive,I would have been a bit miffed walking out empty handed.Hopefully you can make another pass and catch that Sleestak in a better mood for the next go around. ChainWhip
Surprised to see Old Ezra 101 7yr on the shelves here - didn't know much about it so I passed it up.After reading up a little, I may go back for a bottle.
draiiinage
I passed on a botle of 2012 THH priced at $199.99 (YIKES!), but I did pick up a JPS18, Batch #10 for $99.99 at the same store. There's a bottle shop near me with 8 bottles of THH on the shelf at $199... seems like they'd get the idea this is overpriced. They actually had decent prices on other stuff, though.
smknjoe
Maybe not. What year are they? I've seen BTAC around here priced at 110-150 and they range from 2008-2012.
jtgraves
I passed up a handle of 7yr OWA for $75. The store owner got wind of it's growing rarity. I showed her a picture of the exact same bottle, which i had just picked up at another store for $42, and she was only willing to give me 15% off. At $64, that's still way too rich for my blood. There was also a dark, smooth WTKS for $42, but I'm not a fan, so passed on that too.

The last time I picked some up the owners noted that it wasn't being made with that label anymore but knew that you could still get the NAS.Good pass. I like the WT though. tanstaafl2
Passed on the first James E. Pepper 1776 bourbon I have seen locally. $30 for 100 proof NAS (but probably relatively young LDI/MGP bourbon) of a co-opted old brand and history just didn't have much appeal. GaryT
Passed on some OC 10 yr and some WSR 7yr. Think the most interesting thing I saw was a 375 of OWA (I've never seen that size back home, and saw it in two different stores around Tulsa).
justataste
Gary , what stores? I'm in that area.
GaryT
The OC 10 I've seen in a couple stores now - I don't know if I'd remember the names properly though (I've been through close to 20 stores in the past 48 hours - every time I get a break from the in-laws!) The 7 yr WSR was only in one store - I'm 85% sure I remember which one. I'll PM you that store. I've mapped them on Google, and think I drove by one that wasn't on my map (although it also had squat). Hoping to head out towards Bixby tonight or tomorrow.Today I passed on an Old Ezra 101 7 yr - not familiar with it, and didn't want it bad enough to check my bag over it. Not dusty in the least (2012 I think).

c2walker
Craving bourbon after two weeks without any, but at $13 for a shot of Maker's and $10 for Jim Beam at the Miami airport, I can wait a few hours until I'm home.
