Willett FE 6 year. Nice caramelization and char in the mid-palate and back. Really something nice for an offering a bit on the young side.

Last night a buddy and I popped open a dusty 375 of OF BiB-414 that I recently found (from 87, I believe). Really, really tasty stuff and deeper in character than most dusties I've had. One of my favorites.

Last night, it was KCSB (Specs selection) with just a little water followed by EWBIB neat… both very enjoyable. I'll also chime in as a fan of W12 (I like it neat). I've never had an older bottle to compare to and perhaps that ignorance allows me to continue liking it at $20/bottle. I'm really looking forward to cracking open my WLW2012 in the near future!

I really find Louisville to Bardstown to be a nice drive. Next time I'm there I think I'm going to take some roads besides the freeway and come in through Cox's Creek.

that is a nice drive, especially this time of year. are you in KY?

Nope, love it there though. I'm sure it is amazing when the leaves change. I was mostly just joking that you should just go get some Willett if you want some.

Tell you what, i'm going to nurse this puppy and then enjoy it's two siblings. I want to know what magic Jim Rutledge figured out...bottle it...and then disapear.
