Re-visiting Dogfish Head's 90-minute IPA tonight. Been awhile since I've had this one.

This might sound a bit far out, but Busch Copper Lager is a really decent cheap beer. It reminds me of an American made Octoberfest. Generally I stay away from nearly every beer brewed by A-B. I think the regular Busch and Busch Lite are to be avoided. This Copper stuff lived up to good reviews I read on some beer sites. I did homework and was quite cautious before hand.

Plus tôt L'etat, a Saison collab from Prairie and Saint Somewhere. It's a lil musty, w overripe mango and persimmon. Crisp and dry w big floral notes, and a nice pepperiness. Tart and refreshing!

Alesmith Speedway Stout as far as a readily available stouts I really can't think of many better than this jewel.

It's an interesting ploy by AB. They are constantly trying to bridge the gap between "premium" (bud, bud light, miller and coors) and below premium (Busch, miller high life and bud ice). Below premium drinkers tend to be VERY brand loyal.

Enjoyed my first-ever Surly Abrasive IIPA last night. It's big, but balanced too. Great citrus and tropical hops along with bitterness and a nice malty finish. I need to acquire more!

I went with a Ballast Point as well, only mine was Sculpin.

Drinking the Sculpin, now. Actually, I think I like it better than the Big Eye.

Arcadia BA Shipwreck Porter tonight. Good porter, but not knocking my socks off like the last time I had it. Drinking like a standard porter and not much barrel influence.

Bought loads of great beer today, but opted for a great evening out at WSixth. Had some good stuff there too, and will say their BBA Impy Stout is one of the best I've had.

Green Flash West Coast IPA while settin' up for tonight. I'm not sure what has happened to me...Maybe, it's a nice break from all of the Winter/Christmas beers I tried over the last couple of months, but I am totally enjoying IPA's of late. I know there are a lot of people who love the style, but I have not been one of them. However, I can't get enough of the different ones I've been trying lately. This Green Flash is one of the very best ones I've had yet. Gorgeous color.

Working on a growler of Shewolf tonight. It's a collab between Half Acre here in Chicago and FFF. Falls somewhere between Zombie Dust and Arctic Panzer Wolf with plenty of fresh crystallized piney notes on a clean malt profile.

Had a Hopslam earlier today. I really like how the honey balances out some of the citrus notes for a very nice finish. Glad I was able to buy a few when they landed here in Lexington.

Went to the tailspin ale festival yesterday. Only a few highlights. Schlafly BBN brl RIS. And the flat 12 Plinko 23. Another pappy 23 barrel aged stout.

I did try a mikkeller spontancassis at holy Grale that was exquisite. Also had brunch at ATG with a BBN barrel Kentucky common, a perfect sour.

Expecting more ATG 22oz bottles. Citra ass down, 35k and brown note. These beers with Rico Suavin will be the core line of ATG beers.

Occasional bottlings in the funked up plus Bo & Luke and KY Ryed Chiquen.

FFF Backmasking rather enjoyable with plenty of chocolate and nice roasted notes along for the ride as well.

Stone Stochasticity Grapefruit Slam IPA. The most grapefruity thing I've had since a grapefruit. Tempted to put a pack of Sweet and Low in it. At least my scurvy will be gone by the end of the night.
