Have any of you tried that Kilkerran #5 Bourbon Wood? I am very curious to hear if that is something I need to get a couple of.

I recently bought a Arran Devil's Punchbowl that I plan to open this coming weekend.

Deanston Virgin Oak, first try of this brand...@ $35 what the heck.

Let us know how it is. I've been interested, but never pulled the trigger. Can find it for $26 locally so I really have no good excuse.

Two different Laphroaig Cask Strength and one Laphroaig Quarter Cask. They'll arrive in a week or so. Flying kinda blind on these but I've heard good things.

Glenlivet 15yo

Not very exciting but at $10 off, a good deal for a 2014 Christmas present for my bro.

Brings a sniffle & almost a tear to the eye...

Better a tear to the eye than an incurable fluttering in the midsection that your Lagavulin Jazz caused me to endure for a lengthy period last night. :toast:

Anyhow, moving on.... :drink:

Today I found a slightly older Talisker 10 in the former (blue map/latitude) box at the former :frown: price of $64.99.

A couple of Powers John's Lanes for the surprising price of $47.99. I wondered if they were marked at the price for the Signature Release even though the tag clearly said it was for the 12yo whiskey. I didn't argue and took them both home. I did make up fore it a bit by splurging on a couple of bottles of Ealanta just to have a couple as back up despite the rather steep price. Despite the recognition as World Whisky of the Year by Murray it seems to be hanging around. But if I wait until the current bottle is finished no doubt it will suddenly be gone.

Nicely done! Is it as good (or bad) as they say?

I would have done the same thing...except I already have a spare Ealanta.

I have to wait for K&L to get everything in, but here's the list over the past week or so

Glenmorangie Companta

Glendronach 21 Parliament

Longmorn 21 CS K&L

Miltonduff 30 K&L

Clynelish 16 CS K&L

Glendronach CS

Balvenie 17 year Rum Cask (2008)

Glenfarclas 105

And...another Arran 14 from K&L as a back-up

I've apparently been doing some work...
