mbroo5880i
For some odd reason, bottle clearing mode feels good. Of course, it involves alcohol intake. Barrel strength OBSV is always good!

petrel800
Tasty and a good pour to end a hectic week where our German Shepherd pup was diagnosed with elbow dysplasia by our standard vet to be given a clean bill of health from the orthopedic specialist on referral. Definitely hit both ends of the spectrum of emotion this week.

flahute
I was just there this afternoon and saw that bottle. It's 100 proof right? I passed on it but did get their SAOS 8 year rye cask strength.Whenever you see the words "private select" or "private selection" next to Four Roses Single Barrel, it means it's a barrel proof version. The 100 proof version is the standard single barrel.
tigerlam92
Whenever you see the words "private select" or "private selection" next to Four Roses Single Barrel, it means it's a barrel proof version. The 100 proof version is the standard single barrel. Actually I believe there is two packages of private select you can buy from four roses. One is barrel proof and the other lower with two different price points. Most would be barrel proof, if it was me. Andrew, for that one, I actually don't remember and will check when I get back home. I bought that a long time ago kind of obligatory since they gave me a bunch of limited. I haven't gone there for a very long time. Get to know Austin who take care of the spirit or the owner and they'll call you and hold. They are only upstairs not in the store. But their prices are a little high for some stuff. Also, some limited are not on the shelves so you may want to ask but most are. Funny, there is a small shelf on the bottom left walking into the back room. That is the display for their customer clearing their cellar so some time you see some dusties. I found a WT8 for dusty price a while back. bananaslug
Just by looking at the photo, it says "Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey" where it would otherwise say "Barrel Strength" in larger print. Andrew, for that one, I actually don't remember and will check when I get back home.

I met Austin while I was there and he gave me his card. I was asking him how he sold their BTAC releases and he mentioned they still have a few bottles of THH however it is significantly marked up so passed. He has some other older releases but I didn't ask the prices on those. I also saw they had their own barrel picks for Angels Envy and Dickel 14 year. tanstaafl2
The last little bit remaining from a bottle of that rare orphan, Barterhouse (bottle number thirty thousand something!), that I bought back when it first appeared has finally been finished off. Had a second one that I had just opened to compare the difference from newly opened and nearly finished bottles so no rush to get more of this "rare" bottling. flahute
Just finished my first ever bottle T.H. Handy, the '13 edition. I really grew to love this one and it became a favorite. Fortunately, I have backups. Otherwise, this would be a sad day.

elmossle
Had to say goodbye to a bottle of WTRB 108 tonight. Good thing I have one more in the bunker ready for duty. The great thing is, now I have an excuse to by a bottle of the new 112 in the eyes of the wife!
Eskwar
Another EC21 to the recycle bag. "Bag?" Sounds risky. Over in tarrant county, I knocked these out this week. Love that WTT. The modern WTKS (a nice bday gift from a friend) made me appreciate the WTT all the more. (Likely cracking open the bubbles tonight.)
