That's quick work. Any chance you have another bottle from the same barrel?

As a matter of fact, I do. Bought two bottles in Oregon earlier in the year. I may have to open the second bottle to taste again later this month. ;)

Finished off a bottle of SAOS 10yr from Batch #1. Have another bottle of batch #3 in the bunker that I will replace once I open it. Hope the newer batches are at the same level of the original, as it was very good.

Last night polished of two bottles. Willet Pot Still Reserve, decent barrel, and an Eagle Rare 10 store select, great barrel!

Seems like I always have multiples hit the bin at the same time. This weekend saw the end of a store pick WTKS, a RittBiB, and an ECBP (batch 5). I really wish I could find more ECBP but it never makes it to the shelf here. Time to open some new bottles!

Blanton's and at $59 - $69 probably my last bottle for some time. Even without the price differential I really prefer OGD114, OGDBIB, EWBIB, OFSig, WT101, whew.

Shoot I can even get 4RSB for less and I really love me some 4R.

Thank goodness there are some many great bourbons available at reasonable prices even if I'm not in a major urban area.

Just finished a CEHT Small Batch that I've been using to vat with Stagg Jr. My understanding for the premise of this thread is the lament for the passing of a bottle you enjoyed. If that's the case, I'm conflicted. This bottle did not measure up to my memory of my first bottle purchased in the fall of 2013. That was early in my whiskerexia nervosa journey so perhaps it was not as good as I remember and I just didn't know any better back then. Well, if I was disappointed in it on it's own, it shined as a taming and balancing component when combined with Stagg Jr., so there's that.

Thinking about putting our house on the market this spring so I've been on a binge to finish all my everyday bottles that only had a pour or two in them. In the last couple days I finished off and ETL, WTR81 (this bottle has been open and avoided for ~2 years now, it would be my vote for most mediocre straight whiskey I've ever had), EC12, HH not-BiB gold label. Eyeing a Rittenhouse thats nearly gone to finish out the evening.

I am doing the same thing. I know I will be moving in 3-6 months, so I am finishing off anything that is less than half full. Recently, it was a WSR, and soon it will be a SAOS7.

Finished an Angel's Envy yesterday while watching football. It was good but not feeling it for the near $50 it costs in Michigan.

Best regards, Tony

Really like this one.

One of my bottles of the HHSS1 "passed on" last night as well. Was sharing with the HH rep in order to get as much juicy bourbon gossip as I could....

SAOS7 finished. Down to 26 open bottles. I am looking to get to about 15 before opening anything new.

Finished off a Rittenhouse and Mellow Corn. Wasn't in the mood for neat tonight for whatever reason, but the old fashions have been hitting the spot nicely. Alternating between classic angostura and their orange variety.

PVW15 from last year was emptied last night. I had one pour left and was saving it for a special occasion. The Seahawks most unlikely comeback yesterday was the fitting occasion I was looking for. Sad to see this bottle go as it was my first ever PVW.
