Just picked up a Bookers Big Man, Small Batch at Costco here for $46.99.

Edit: meant to quote one of the earlier posts 're: Bookers and Costco.

I'm seriously debating going back and grabbing a couple bottles at $44.

as well u should. i prefer stagg jr and ecbp in the 50 - 60 range but those 2 are so hard to find that once my IN $36 booker's bottles and $46 stagg jr bottles run out and I can't find them anymore locally at our prices I will be re-stocking my booker's supply at our MI state min of $60 since it is rather easy to find in comparison. Definitely the best (easily accessible, not limited edition/batch) 130 proof bourbon out there.

My problem is I enjoy all those bottles so I'll end up walking out with a MM46, Basil Hayden, not pictures was a 1.5 liter of KC for $44. I know shops that sell the 750 for $40 lol. Plus several of bookers. I have zero self discipline.

I have a couple bottles of Jr. A shop near work has a bottle in stock. In the past 3 weeks nobody has bought it. At $50 I'll pick it up if it's still there on Monday.

Once again passed on Rhetoric and Forged Oak. Last night, passed on Lost Prophet. I'm not letting the Orphans suck me in.

Passed up two different bathes of the Bookers the other day at a store.

Seeing this thread recently, seems like they are putting out pretty large numbers of these. But I guess, when wS boomers every considered a limited release.

I passed up a couple batches of Booker's as well yesterday. I've really been wanting to try Center Cut, but it's currently $57.95 at the ABC store, so I went with OGDBIB and a bottle of Angel's Envy for the wife instead. They also had "Oven Buster" and a couple bottles of a (non-roundtable) 2014 batch at that price.

I passed on the Parker's Malt and a 1792 Sweet Wheat, kindly brought out from the back of my favourite store by the owner. I thanked him kindly, but the Parker's exceeds my allowance by about $60. I just not interested in a wheater either.

Passed on PHC9 @ $120.

Heaven Hill, if you are listening, can we please please please get a rye for PHC10? That is all.

Stopped for gas on the way home and went to a few stores that I have never been to before. My second stop had some really good deals:

ECBP Batch 9 for $57

1792 1.75L with the 8-yr age statement for $66

PHC9, but I didn't get the price.

Oh, and they also had PVW23 for $2,200 and ORVW10 for $350.

I ended up with a Pikesville Rye for $32.

Passed on most everything today. Most notable of the passes EWSB '04 for a reasonable price, and the HH John F. Fitzgerald 20yr 375ml for $299.99. It is some truly badass packaging and I'm sure the juice inside is amazing but I just can't get past the price to pull the trigger at the moment.

I think your wise to pass up the HH John F. Fitzgerald. If they were selling these in normal 750ml bottles it would be $600 a bottle. Is any whiskey really worth that?

Another way to look at it would be 750ml of HH John F. Fitzgerald cost the same as (12) YES 12 750 ml bottles of HH ECBP both at MSRP prices.

That being said. I'm sure people will pay way more than MSRP for these!

exactly what I was thinking... damn, $600! now if only I could find a bottle of ECBP again...

back on topic though, passed on OWA for $30... couldn't bring myself to pick another one up after binny's had them for $23 a couple weeks ago.

Passed on Kinsey 7r age stated @ $39. Mid 80s proof stopped me. At least the label said sourced, blended, and bottled so it isn't misleading

Passed on B&B, MMCS (both sizes), IWH 15, WT Diamond, RHF, as well as not bourbon Green and Yellow Spot today.

After settling for some cigars, I'm feeling pretty good about my bourbon zen right now (let's see how long that lasts:slappin:)!

I also passed ER today, but I did have a few in the 'bunker'.

You should give it a go sometime, as it's still one of the best values left in this crazy bourbon boom world.

Why do you fear ER10? It's generally highly regarded and it's presented at a great price.

I cannot seem to pull the trigger on the ER10 anymore, since it apparently went from single barrel to some sort of batch followed by a number of negative reports on here. (Actually I did pull the trigger on it once, but ended up needing that bottle to serve as a gift, and now am unable to re-pull.)

It's still a single barrel for all intents and purposes. The "batching" is the minute amount left over in the line from the previous barrel. I still see more positive reports than negative. If someone has never tried it, there's no need to be wary of it at $30.
