b1gcountry
I got caught up with some of the higher tier bottles I've been opening recently, and I left a bottle of 4R on the shelf for a few months with the intention of opening it. I finally opened it tonight, and I was very pleasantly surprised. For 80proof there is a lot going on, and it certainly had that 4R profile. I really enjoyed it, and had to follow up with some 4RsmB and 4RSB
vismatt
I am really in to Bottled in bond bourbons right now. I picked up a bottle of Old Grand Dad BiB, Very Old Barton BiB and Henry McKenna for about $65 total the other day and am really liking every one of them. Not a huge fan of the Old Grand Dad 114, but really like the BiB.
OldDrinker1978
Wild Turkey 13 Year Old. I read some mixed opinions about it but it is totally awesome. Very smooth. Reminds me alot of Weller 12 and Pappy.

smokinjoe
Really loving on a McKenna 10 yr BIB tonight. A nice sweet wood undertone is expressing itself over the palate. Interesting in that it gives evidence of the extensive 10 years of aging, but it remains "bright" and nowhere near being "overoaked". Well put together whiskey. Vosgar
Kind of feeling the same way about the RR 10yr 90 proof I'm enjoying tonight
Golzee
Thought about opening a RR10yr or a HMBIB, but, decided to stick to my open bottle limitations. Ended up pouring some 1792, which should get me through a few chapters.

It seems there has been a lot of love recently on the McKenna and fine by me. More than a few bottles under my belt. BUT of all the HH brands, this one, even in all its single barrel iterations, has the most of the HH house mint-eucalyptus flavoring. Not a deal breaker (not much is) but does push it back a bit in my rotation. The still some graininess-rawness of the 6 year BIB or stone fruit of the EC 12 just plays better with the mint-eucalyptus for me.
elmossle
Tonight's pour were all over the map. Started with some EC22. From there we staying in the family with a large pour of HH6BIB. Still wanted a little more as a "night cap" and decided on 1792 Port Finish. Like I said, ended up being all over the map tonight. While it was a journey, they all tasted really good. The old EC18 could be even stronger with these notes, and so my favorite of the lineup.

Prof_Stack
(Standard issue) Woodford Reserve - a nice gentle bourbon with good oak bite, but not overly so.

A very underrated bourbon in the enthusiast community, IMO. The peripheral things with Woodford have overshadowed the whiskey itself, unfortunately. dcbt
I finally bought a bottle of WR recently and tried it for the first time. My initial thought was, "There's nothing wrong with this, why do people rag on it so much?" Then again, I do like oaky pours.
NuttyFinish
Walked in from work to find a bottle of Barrel Bourbon batch 7, sitting on my counter, finally my wife's starting to get me, thanks baby! You know Joe, when I first joined this board about 3-4 years ago, I thought that WR wasn't worth the price given all the bourbons you could get (that I thought were as good or better) for less. Funny thing happened though. Most of those other bourbons have crept up in price whereas WR has basically stayed the same. It's presenting as a value almost at this point. I haven't purchased a bottle yet (though I do have a Double Oak), but every time I fly Delta and get a WR I think to myself that it's time to buy another bottle.
