A really hefty pour of a store pick (Pearson's) of Blanton's.  I've waited all day for this.

Shouldn't you be enjoying that Blanton's while watching Clapton?

Left the house with a buddy in search of Booker's Rye. Turned it down at $35 for a 1 oz. pour. Had Weller 12 instead at $20 for 2 oz. and then CEHT Rye at $15 for 2 oz. Finished off the night at home with 1792 Full Proof (first time with this and it did really well after getting a bit of air) and then WT101 as my finale. Good night.

Started out the evening with a 50/50 blend of EC12 & Larceny... Continued with a generous pour of OWA... Wrapped up the night with a little CEHT SmB.

Finished off my second bottle of a local RRSiB store pick (two different barrels). Both very good. I have multiples stocked up of both.

Then went with the King - George T. Stagg ('14). My all time favorite. (Stagg that is, not this year in particular). It's a holiday pour. Though I have been known to pour it on any old day. Now going with some Thomas H. Handy. Don't know the year. I could look it up, but I don't care. It's damn good. Happy holiday to you all.

Ouch, I have broken many bones in my day, and I can say that the thumb is not fun.  There are a lot of nerves around the area, I'll have a drink  in your honor.  If anybody is wondering, I have broken a leg, arm, collar bone and fractured bones in both hands.  Alcohol was involved once...

ALL those bones broken... and alcohol was involved ONLY ONCE!!!????     You're not really trying hard enough, I think.   HA!

After a full day of tile cutting, relaxing back watching the Sun dropping low, with a pour of Buffalo Trace.

Started with a side-by-side pairing of 4R PS OBSO (11y 7m, 111.8 Proof, Cork Dork's Selection) and 4R PS OESO (12y 2m, 102.8 Proof, Crown Liquors Selection) while grilling some meat over fire.

Then for desert, some Booker's Bluegrass (Batch 2016-1, 127.9 proof).

Life is good. We should have these 3 day weekends more often.

Bought a bottle of JB Devil's Cut at the CL VI today. Not too bad for the price. Need to start building the bunker up so I have options!

I hope your weather is as nice in Iowa as it is in Indiana.  Things are starting to heat up again but fall is close.

Grilled some ribeyes in honor of the holiday which called for a big red wine which can throw my palate off for a few hours following. After dinner I tested the palate with some ETL (which has come around and is tasting great now, though still not hype worthy). Now enjoying some Evan Williams 12yr. Feeling some Stagg coming on after this one. Oh yes......

Nice win for my Cards and a productive day of housework so it was a mix of 4RSB OBSK, ETL and a blended scotch (Monkey Shiulder) while relaxing by a firepit as my reward.

Poured a couple of small areas of concrete yesterday morning and then recuperated by "denting" a family size bottle of EC12

A nice pour of this new bottle, Old Grand-Dad (Lot No. 1) (114 Proof). A nice little after kick. Definitely, for the price a winner.

About 3 oz. of VOB BIB "6" which finishes off this bottle.  Only a case left.  Time to get more.
