Dear Beam,

Our retailer is ignoring the new price point of $70.  We feel this is affecting our ability to fly off the shelf.  Thankfully, we have some family here keeping us company.

Sincerely,

Dusty Bookers

wow, and a 2014 or older batch to boot. really a hot seller there, huh?

honestly though, I think I'd clear the shelf of Bookers and OGD114 at those prices

Wow, that's high for Woodford Reserve. I'd grab a bottle of Old Grandad 114 if it was staring me in the face at that price.

The Booker's is a good deal, but I have three in the bunker and one open.  114 can be found for $22-23 if you know where to look.  The handwritten prices make me happy everytime I stop in there.

Yeah, a guy at one of the liquor stores said it wasn't The Greatest.

That guy on the label doesn't look like the boxer. :o

I've also passed this up several times. I have not read a single review of it and at $60+ (and no age statement) I will likely keep passing it up. I do enjoy the cannon and the bottle label, but $60+ is too high to roll the dice on a complete unknown.

Admittedly, it resulted in a lesson on Kentucky history for me.

Agree, $37 is high for Woodford, its $33 here in UT.

But that $35 Baker's?  Yes please!  Baker's is $50+tax here in UT and no OGD 114 at all so I'd be buying more than one at anything under $30.

The new pricepoint of $70 for Booker's has arrived in UT, and I will always be passing at that price.

Was glad to see 1792FP and High Rye on a shelf in SC today until I saw the price which was $59.99 cash!  This particular local chain of small stores used to be pretty good about pricing and now it seems they have decided they are testing the high end of the market - likely the last time I stop in

Not sure what MSRP on those are?  I think the High Rye is around $35.  If I remember I paid $36.99 for it.  Isn't the FP MSRP $49.99?

You're right on the High Rye and the FP first release was $43 and was $47 for batch 2 in VA a few weeks ago

I just paid $48.49 for it this week. Depending on state taxes that 59.99 price isn't too outrageous considering it's not a bottle that isn't seen that often.

Saw WTMK Decades for the first time for $150. People seem to love it so far, so I may spring for a bottle.

Bottle King in Ramsey had it for $120 but I'm holding out, I got the first WTMK for $109 at Stew Leonards' in Paramus either way I think you will do better than $150 in NJ.

It was $170+ at the one sketchy liquor store where I saw it in town. If I could find it for $150, I would consider it. I am going to the Wild Turkey Distillery on Saturday. I am interested to see if they have it there (and, if so, how much).

I would guess it will be high, I think when I was there in November it was $50 for Rare Breed as a point of reference. That being said it was an awesome tasting when I was there 101 Rye, and RR Single Barrel Rye and Bourbon all were poured and I shook Jimmy's hand, it was a lot of fun.

That's kinda what I was thinking on the FP.

David Nicholson 1843 bottled in bond.  I know this was discontinued a while back in favor of a 90 proof version.  I'd really like to try it but the $29.99 seemed out of line.

We don't get DN in TX, but I thought they kept it at 100 proof, but dropped the BIB.
