Some OF1920 watching a couple game 7s of hockey tonight.  Need to finish this bottle off to make room for new bottle of Smooth Ambler Wheated. Probably have one evening left in the 1920.

Going with Blanton's again. Bottle is running low — too bad I won't replace it anytime soon since it's difficult to track down now (not to mention the increase in price).

Blanton's here as well, getting near the end of this bottle and really realizing how fantastic it is.

I picked up another bottle the other day, there seems to be multiple bottles around town at most of the stores right now. Tempting to pick up even more but I've got too many other open bottles to start hoarding, plus Blanton's seems to be fairly regularly available here. Can't find a lot of other bottles though, like anything Weller, so I guess it all evens out.

I've got this older batch of MMCS that I've been struggling to finish. This is my third and last 375ml of this batch and I've had a hard time with a grassy/slightly too young flavor I get from it. For this third bottle I decided to try something different. In an effort to induce oxidation (and the hope that oxidation would help) I pour the bottle into a Pyrex mixing bowl and let it sit for a while. Then I got a super whisk and whisked the hell out of it to introduce as much oxygen as possible. I then let it sit for a while longer and put it back in the bottle.A few weeks later, I'm trying it and am finding it much improved. The sample size is too small to declare victory as this may simply be  a super attuned palate night. Further tasting is required.

Finishing with ECBP 136 proof and boy do I have to say how magnificent this bottle is. Last pour. I have a few of these stashed away and aim to go out and find some more.

I enjoyed some Angel's Envy followed by a glass of Larceny while watching/following the Derby.

I can just picture you whisking away some whiskey in a Pyrex container, wonder what the wife would say.

Loch & K(e)y Society pick (Barrel #60) Blanton's before ballroom dancing lessons tonite.  Got people talking about it again, so I'm putting my "Go-To" bourbon where my mouth is!!!     :P

My wife has us in Ballroom Dancing too. I agreed solely to make her happy. She moves like no other & I'm so so on the dance floor. Anyways, A drink is usually required for me before we go also. You Know. To loosen up a little. At least that's what I tell her! Enjoy your time tonight. Happy Wife Happy Life!!! :)

Hmm,ECBP batch 1 even. But I see that the Hamilton St. Lucia 8yo CS is lurking in the background. I can hear it saying "please, please let me funk that up a bit"!

Might have to get the batch 1 I opened up recently out and let it play a bit as well!

How does the 137 proof (Older Gift shop release?) size up to the mass released newer ECBP's?

A. D. Laws Four Grain Straight Bourbon Whiskey . . . Batch #8 . . . 95 Proof . . . from Laws Whiskey House in Denver, CO.

I must say, after being open for 6 months it's really tasting great.  It has always opened a bit raw and young, but the mid-palate and finish are strong.  Lots of oak and cherry with a dry and lingering finish.  These guys may be onto something.

Henry McKenna SB...I go back and forth on this one...some nights I find it quite enjoyable, and other nights like tonight it just ain't doing it for me.

Just poured some Old Heaven Hill Bottled in Bond. Tremendous value, although I slightly prefer the VOB BiB.

I realize now that 137 was the 2nd release. The earliest bottle that I have is Batch 5. The gift shop ECBP's from back when were single barrels if I'm not mistaken.

The 60:40 mix of Old Weller 107 Antique & Weller 12.  I've been enjoying it for the past two years and have enough of the fixins left for another three years.  No matter how long the mix sits, it tastes the same every time.  Something to be said for consistency.

My own mix on the SB OGD114/WSR blend but instead my favorites OGDBiB and WA107.

I'm thinking to call it Grand Dad's Antique 103.5.

Finishing a large pour of RRSiB. This was a PS by K&L and it is a notch above the regular (non-PS) RRSiB bottles I've had. Spicy, sweet, oaky, delicious.

Nightcap pour of OWA Binny's PS for me tonight.  This has been the theme of the week and the bottle is nearing its end.  Not sure what I will replace it with yet.

I'm sure it's hard to beat an OWA PS. I'm hoping to get my hands on some this year.

Opened up the CEHT 4 grain last night for Brian's Birthday and we loved it. Just lucky enough to have found one.
