Wow didn't expect to see one of these posted on here very cool

I'm working on one, but it's going to be a long game as my local is sitting on it indefinitely deciding what to do with it

Excited! I know this is mid-shelf juice, but NC stopped carrying it around the time I got serious about bourbon. This has been on my "to try" list ever since. Glad to see NC start carrying it again.

Picked up this bad boy via trade today.   Mostly for the bottle presentation rather than the juice.  I have heard mixed reviews, I'll crack it open and post a review sometime this week.

VOBBIB for $14.99.  Neck label has "100 Proof" instead of the 6.  This rarely shows up in Iowa, previous bottles have been OK.  They had 4 cases, so I'll have time to get more this weekend if it tastes OK.

So I passed this over the weekend but went back. Been looking for one in the wild for over a year. It's over my general price threshold but I made an exception. 8534ad728913c4014bb6393f24a1a0fb.jpg

I was doing some store hopping today looking for the current ECBP if pricing was right, and I found three new bottles on the shelf. The price was $69, which was consistent with their pricing last year, so I decided to pick one up. I was concerned that pricing had risen when I passed on a bottle at another store priced at $79 a few days back, but looks like the other store was just up-charging like they are known for. The story doesn't end there though. While I was holding the bottle of ECBP and looking at some other top shelf stuff, the manager came up to me with two CEHT tubes and said these just came in if you're interested...one bottle of 4 grain and one bottle of barrel proof. The price of $77.99 was a bit above what I think suggested retail is, but I've never been able to find the barrel proof before, and obviously the 4 grain is new and scarce. Needless to say, three bottles came home with me. [emoji106]

Picked up another Old Fitz BiB for the bunker since it's the only place I can find it in Chicagoland.

Nice.  Barterhouse is legit.  Well worth $70 IMHO.

Colonel E H Taylor Single Barrel,  $69.  Seems high compared to the small batch, hopefully it will be worth it.

For future reference folks, pleases handle anything like this in private. The buying, selling or trading of alcohol without a license is illegal. Even the talk of such is frowned upon here on SB. We want to try and avoid even the possibility of any problems arising. Hope y'all understand. If there's any questions, just send me a pm.

Thanks, Joe

The single barrel is very nice, but to me, and for the price I like the Small Batch better. The Barrel Proof is also very nice.

Came across this at Binny's. First time seeing it in the wild, so I had to grab one to see what it's all about.

I bought a Private Select Makers 46 Cask Strength for $59.99.  All 10 staves were chosen from the 46 lot (toasted French Oak).  The retailer claims this is the first ever Maker's 46 Private Select Cask Strength.  I don't know about that but it is my first MM46CS.  I am not a fan of MM46 at its price point but I do enjoy MMCS compared to MM and I enjoyed the one Maker's Private Select that I bought.  I am hopeful I will find this bottle equally enjoyable.

I picked some up from Binny's last Friday on the way home from work - also first time I've found in Chicagoland. Glad to see it hasn't completely disappeared yet. Haven't cracked mine yet but looking forward to doing so soon. (love that RHF too...)

I need to finish a few bottles before I open the Rebel, but I'm definitely looking forward to trying this wheater.  Which Binny's did you stop by? I went a different route home from work today to stop by the one off Touhy. I've had good luck there in the past.

The RHF I got lucky and stumbled across it at retail a little while ago as well at a smaller shop.
