Raining cats and dogs today, so relegated to inside duties, I.e. Packing for Bardstown then nap on couch with Braves on radio in background....[emoji3]  This deserves a beer.  A nice Taxman  Gold Standard Belgian style Abbey Blonde.  Light on the banana-ish esters, and easy throughout.

Cheers to the Taxman!!

Joe, did you bring those back from Indiana or are they distributed in GA?

I don't know if it's distributed here.  I have a buddy who recently moved to Indy, but gets back here often, and he brought me a few surprises!

If you like Belgian style beers they do a terrific job and they just started a sour program with promising results so far. Bonus: their brewpub is five minutes from my house. 24 rotating taps a terrific food.

One of my pet peeves in the craft brewing world are these cheesy labels and names the brewers seem infatuated with.  Doesn't keep me from enjoying them when I like one, but I'd just like to say "Knock it off, sparky."  ;)

Really...some I I quite like.IMG_2234.JPG.83154d928e1d2ec41ccf7a8623c56ed9.JPG

IPA day while watching Cards game with friends. Art of Neurosis, Two Hearted, Megawheat and split a DFH 120 Minute. Had a nice nap when I got home after that.

Starting the night with a great bourbon barrel stout. Bottled on 4/2015. Very good

These are 2 for $4 at the local gas station. Can't beat that deal IMO.

Bell's Consecrator Dopplebock. Very good malty brew after my recent IPA streak.

First posting in the beer section but saw this and I had to try one.

It's wee heavy aged over 200 days in Wild Turkey barrels.

Pic was a bit blurry since my 2.5 yr Old decided to go for my Blanton's bottle, the "horsey" the moment I was taking the pic.

^Update to above holy crap that was good. Much better than any bourbon barrel aged bottles I've had before.

Picked up a case while in the Motherland for SB Sampler last weekend.  A beer from my years in the Hoosier state.  I'm thinking it used  to be $4.99 or less per case then...uh, not now...
