Love the Bookers. I have been scarfing up the 2016 offerings when I can get them at the 2016 prices.

Picked up a ECBP B517, 1792 BP, JDSB BP, and KCSB SP. A first for me on the ECBP B517. I'm looking forward to doing a sbs with A117 that I have opened. Also a first for me on the 1792 BP and JDSB BP

Wish I could find a B157.  None in KC...

That is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion. I agree with Paddy, I'd talk to the owner and at least let him know that you're interested in knowing when he gets in those kind of selections. I'd think most private/local shop keeps would appreciate and hopefully reward someone who wants to spend their money locally.

I have spent a lot of time (and a pretty good amount of the green stuff) building a good relationship with one of my local shop owners. He knows what I like and always gives me a call when he has something he knows I'll be interested in.

While I was there picking up the W12 and ETL there was a fella in the store getting a couple bottles of Weller SR. I struck up a conversation and found out he was in town from St. Louis and was excited to be able to grab a couple WSR, said he can't find it anywhere around StL. Makes me feel pretty fortunate to live where I do and have the local resources for bourbon that we have here around Jefferson City.

I only get there on weekends and the owners are usually not there.  I did ask the employee to talk to them and left my contact info. Also sent an email to them stating that I was disappointed I missed out on W12 and that I'd like to be included in any notification or system they have in place re: allocated bottles.  I also slipped in a list of all the stuff I've purchased there in the last 12 months or so (Old Fitz, 3-ETL, a couple age stated EC12s, at least 4 or 5 Stagg, Jr. and a couple Blanton's just off the top of my head). I was actually purchasing a bottle of Stagg Jr. while discussing with the employee. I guess we will see.  Employee may have gotten W12 and WSR confused but I can't imagine someone driving 2 hours just to pick up a few bottles of WSR.  If it was W12, I hope they are a drinker/collector and not a flipper.

Never had the opportunity to bourbon shop in JC.  Only time I'm ever there is passing thru on the way to the lake and I'm usually a passenger.

^^ You should stop by on your way through sometime if you have the chance. Let me know and I'll do some recon for you and locate the spots with favorable selections.

I was able to try this EC private selection prior to buying. I prefer this pretty strongly over the 12 year.  It's a great value.

A fun day out shopping today.  Get to try the 112 RB, the Kentucky spirit, found SAOS that I've read so much about, and then found the EWSB.  Going to be a good tasting night.

Got a nice delivery today including this Belle Meade 10yr 104.8 proof store pick.  I know a lot of people jumped on the SAOS when Wine & Cheese Place had them....I'm curious if anyone has tried this BM.  Bourbon purists please disregard my new found love for Campbeltown scotch.

Grabbed these while up in Springfield, Missouri at my girl's soccer games.  I know they have alot more of the 4R and think they have more W12 @$29.00(he had to fetch it from his office).  If any of you Missouri guys want to know where - PM me.

Went on a mini road-trip in MA all day, and hit all big chains I could find. As someone who's only shopped in the Boston Metro area for the past 5 years, the prices I saw brought tears to my eyes. Many bottles were ~$20 cheaper than what I would consider a good price. Also, Stagg Jr for $38? Yes, please.

Anyways, bought a bunch of "experimental" bourbons and ryes that I'd not normally consider, but this cheap, I had to try.

Never had the OF 1920 before. Big fan of Yippee Ki-Yay, but never considered a bottle at around $70 before. Always wanted to taste MGP Whistle Pig 12 with 3 fancy wine finishes, but bar pours are ridiculously expensive. Maker's 46 and The Crown Royal Northern Harvest are half bottles, for variety. I don't see myself paying for any JD, hence the minis to see what they're all about.

Since bourbon won't go bad in the bottle as long as it retains a good seal, I bought a holiday gift set of a MM46 750ml with two rocks glasses. I need more glasses like a I need another hole in the head but at $30 it was too hard to resist. It must have been all that Yankee thrift thing I got instilled in me as a child growing up in MA. QC test tomorrow afternoon after Mrs PGs new dishwasher gets installed.

No purchase, but GeeTen stopped for breakfast on his way home to Boston from Richmond VA and presented me with a nice gift of ETL (hard to find here) and RHF (which I've never had).  I was so grateful I gave him an EC with a red 12YR on the front, a VOB BIB, and some sealed sample-sized decantings of some LEs.  I sure hope he waits until he gets home to try those samples.  They are 5 oz. each but really handy to sip from.:D

So, Thanks, Frank.  The RHF will be open by the second inning of Giants @ Nats today.

Agreed - I've heard reports this morning that there is no ligament or tendon damage there - hope that's the case.
