My buddy & I have enjoyed WTRB, HMcK10 (3 different barells)& ETL 2nite. The WTRB 116.8 was the standout.

In Louisville for the weekend with some other SBers and picked up an Evan Williams Master Blend.  A blend of Black Label, BIB, 1783, and 23 yr.  Dried flowers on the nose is nice and very dry over the palate.

Dang it Joe.  Ya'll should have stopped in E'town and shared a pour.  Oh well, your loss. :)

New restaurant in town, Impellizeri's, pizza and italian.  Have a pretty good bourbon selection and it's reasonably priced.  Had a pour of RR 6 y.o. rye ($9) and my second pour of Jim Beam Distiller's Cut ($7).  Really getting into the ryes lately.

That is some good pizza. I've been to the one in downtown Louisville. Good bourbon selection there as well.

Henry Mckenna BIB over a half ice sphere (it broke when I tried removing it from the mold) while watching UFC 221.

I finally got some shelving instead of a table, so I’m celebrating with some BM. 778F83E2-32FE-4C6C-AB20-06E86D667FB6.thumb.jpeg.cf35ce55e7c3853fa9de0403329b20d1.jpeg0A06AB2D-B043-4243-933B-4A0F699F8626.thumb.jpeg.4087513841f092d1ee579e4efe0b2e51.jpeg

Really nice unit! But that bottle arrangement looks very sparse. Now you need to buy another 20.

After getting home from dinner last night still felt the need to enjoy a couple more pours.  RY 10 y.o. and Baby Saz to end the night.

Dug deep down into the bunker and pulled this out.  Very interesting pour thus far.

That is awesome.  I really like the Bowman Single Barrel and it is one of my daily drinkers, but I have never seen a private barrel pick in my area.

Was outside with old students of mine. Of course, they picked the place, and of course, it was a cheap shitty college dive. But the stars aligned and they had OGD114 ! Boilermaker time: PBR + two fingers of OGD114. (who still pours whiskey by fingers... this was a dive all right)

I'm having the last couple of pours from a ps BT this evening. Regardless of the circumstances as to how this barrel was picked, it's a pretty darned good one. :) Even though I'm really trying hard to cut down on my purchases, I may just have to go back and grab a couple more of these if they have any left.

Moving on to some VOB 6 Year (not "6") BiB. This is my last bottle of the VOB 6 Year, and I am not likely to ever purchase the replacement, because I don't know what the "6" means, without some additional context.

Fyi, it's still pretty good. :)

This is my first time having these SBSBS. It’s pretty amazing how much depth and happiness comes with the 17 proof that the OWA has over WSR

My preference:

OWA

W12

WSR (a distant 3rd)

Started w/ Russell's single barrel store pick.

Now Rare Breed WT-03RB (108.2p).

Unintentionally a turkey night for me.

:)

Never a 'bad' thing!    A lot of very good stuff comes from L'burg.    Some were fearful when the new equipment replaced the old; but, I think those fears are unfounded.
