Getting to the end of another Blanton’s. Always a winner.

Curious which release of M10?

2015, not the best apparently but that’s the only one I’ve tasted. I’ve heard pre 2015 releases were way better.

After an impromptu rum tasting, capping the night with an easy but no-nonsense bourbon: OGD 114. It was a good Sunday. I hope I can wake up for work tomorrow.

Palate was all over the place last night.  Started out last night with some of the BH Dark Rye.  Moved on to OWA, followed by some ETL and finished off with some RY SiB 10 y.o.

I have a couple of 2014's bunkered, but just picked up a 2017.  I have enjoyed these mightily in the past and hope the 2017 measures up!

Finally enjoyed the first HH6 green label .  Its in family, and seems a bit more forward than EWBIB, which is neither better nor worse. Neat worthy (my preference).  Very nice bourbon at the nicest price.

Both are good. I drink the Green straight, and a splash in the EW.

Finished up the 2017 Rop-a-dope with Uncle Sam. He Won! Needed a pour badly.

I started with a blend of 50/50 LS pick EC 11year & RR SiB. The flavor was kaBOOM!!! I lit a crappy cigar and it nuked my palete. I'm glad I just did a 1/2oz pour. My next pour was a Blanton's. Blanton's seems to be very forgiving no matter what happens to my palete. Big B deserved another 1/2oz; and got it. Next was a newly opened Bulleit BS. The high rye was different & deserves a night out on it's own. I liked it, but wasn't ready for it.

And now, as I type, I am enjoying a 1/2oz of LS pick KC 120. This stuff is just really, flavorful. I do believe I will bunker a couple bottles of this before the sell out...

Started with a KCSB a fellow SBer generously shared. Then went for this 9yr 3 mo OESV at a nice 54.7%.

Been awhile since I've had some of this. Colonel E.H. Taylor Jr. Straight Rye BIB (2015) 4 Yr. Old (100 Proof), very tasty.

They weren't too bad. The bourbon flavor was very subtle.  They had been in the Amazon shopping cart since Christmas. The wife had forgotten to buy them. She surprised me with them today.

Not at all Chris. :) I'm heading back down to KY in a couple of weeks.  I'm hoping I can find another bottle or two.

Did you get it for 21.00? IF it gets to Indiana, I will buy more.

The HH6 green label handle I snagged and almost finished has rocked my world. I do like EWBIB but the 90 proof HH6 hit my spot a little better

I’m enjoying a nice big pour of Old Ezra 101. I picked up this bottle on closeout for $18 and it is really tasty, especially for the price. Lots of brown sugar but also an interesting earthy quality that I’m really digging.
